Just 4 miles north of Cortez, this adorable ranch retreat offers a fully furnished equine themed guest home with generous pull-through parking. One queen bed and a full-sized futon can sleep up to 4 comfortably. Make lavish meals in the full kitchen or check out several fantastic restaurants in town. Enjoy panoramic views of Sleeping Ute Mountain and Mesa Verde. Keep an eye out for bald and golden eagles. Don’t be surprised if the horses wander by to greet you! Well-behaved pets are welcome. The guest bungalow consists of a 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment with a complete kitchen that sits adjacent to our shop. There is a fold out full-sized futon in the living room to accommodate additional guests with a flat screen TV and excellent WiFi. Your dog is allowed to have free time outside as long as he/she is supervised and doesn’t bother the livestock. Please do not leave your pet at home unattended or allow him/her on the furniture as other guests may have allergy issues. Our driveway is circular and can easily accommodate large trailers and moving vans. Owners live onsite in separate residence. Need to check-in late? No problem! The door will be unlocked when you arrive and you do not need to meet with anyone in person. You are welcome to say hello to the horses but please don’t let your children or dog enter the pasture or corrals for everyone’s safety. You may also encounter Taco, our 7 lb chihuahua mix who is convinced she is a real ranch dog! We live onsite and are always available by text or phone calls as well. We're happy to help with any questions or concerns but like to give guests their space. If you'd like advice on local mountain bike/hiking trails or where to play pickleball in town, just ask! Quiet farm and ranch neighborhood close to town with easy access from Highway 491. Parking is plentiful here on the farm as there is plenty of room and a circular driveway. We welcome all pets for a small fee. Access to HBOMax is included. Short-term horse boarding and grass hay are available with a 100’ x 200’ outdoor riding arena. We also have 30 amp RV hookups and trailer parking. Ask us for details.
