Come enjoy absolute peacefulness at our off-grid lakeside cabin. Listen to the loons calling and the waves on the rocky shoreline as you relax on the deck or lay in the hammock. We have canoes, kayaks and great fishing. Hiking trails nearby, miles and miles of ATV trails start right from the cabin. Generator provides power for standard household amenities(oven, lights, hot shower) The toilet is an outhouse. 1.5 hr drive to Bar Harbor and the beautiful coast! Rustic A-frame cabin with an open floor plan on the first level containing the kitchen, eat-on bar/island and living room area with two full size futons and two recliners. Propane lights, refrigerator, cook stove and fireplace. There are other nearby cabins that the owners may or may not be at during your stay. They are separated by wooded areas. Lots of wildlife including ducks, geese, eagles, porcupine, deer, moose, black bears, coyotes, bobcats rabbits and fox. Explore the lake by kayak or canoe! Access to the cabin is on a maintained gravel road. There is plenty of parking available on the property. The Amherst General Store/gas station and the Airline Brewing and pub are approx 12.4 miles from the cabin on the main road and both have access by ATV trails. The store offers basic supplies, fuel and a small cafe. The Airline Brewery offers great craft beer and pub food! The cabin is approximately 1.5 hour drive from the beautiful coastal town of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. This is a very rustic off-grid cabin that may not be suitable for everyone.
