Our pet-friendly, peaceful pit stop is perfect for those traveling the Mother Road, heading to Missouri wine country, or exploring St. Louis area attractions like Purina Farms, Meramec Caverns and much more. This newly remodeled, rural retreat has all the amenities you need for a good night’s rest during a road trip or to spend a few days and relax. There is both indoor and outdoor space to enjoy, including a fenced in yard for pets. The space OUTSIDE The guesthouse is part of a 25 acre heavily wooded property with owners on site in another house on the property. The guesthouse is surrounded by trees and secluded, yet has easy access to I-44 and is 5 minutes away from groceries, gas and local restaurants. The house is near the highway and you may hear traffic noise. The main house is surrounded by a fence that contains 2 Great Pyrenees. While the dogs are not left outside unattended while guests are at the house, guests may hear barking from time to time. There is a picnic table, umbrella and gas bbq grill for guests to use. There is a fenced in yard for guests with pets on the side of the guesthouse. You will need to go out the front door and walk your pup about 20 steps to enter the fenced in yard. INSIDE The guesthouse was remodeled in 2022 with new living and bedroom furniture, kitchen appliances, bathroom shower, vanity, ceiling fans and more. The heat/air conditioning was updated in September 23 with a mini split ductless system. There is wifi for streaming apps on your phone or the tv in the living area but no traditional cable tv. The living area has a loveseat and chair. The kitchenette has a refrigerator, microwave, airfryer/toaster oven and a coffee bar as well as a stackable washer & dryer. The bedroom has a closet for hanging clothes if needed. Guest access The guesthouse is attached to a garage but guests DO NOT have access to the garage. There is plenty of outside parking for guests. The white door with the keypad on the right side of the garage door is where guests enter the guesthouse. Guests do have access to the fenced in yard on the side of the house. Note, the doors to the guesthouse do not open out into the fenced in yard, you will have to walk your pup about 20 steps away from the front door to enter the fenced in yard. Other things to note The guesthouse is nestled in the countryside of Missouri and sits on a heavily wooded property. Due to the rural setting, you may encounter wildlife such as deer, armadillos, possums, raccoons, foxes, skunks, rabbits or squirrels outside. You may also come across a spider or mouse. PET OWNERS 1. For several reasons, please keep your pets on a leash at all times: (unless they are in the fenced in yard). - We don't want your pet to have any wildlife encounter - The guesthouse is VERY close to I-44 with cars driving 70+mph - Great Pyrenees' from a neighboring farm will come by for a visit from time to time 2. Please pick up after your pet, there are waste bags provided in the guesthouse. 3. 4 pet maximum unless prior approval from owners
