Thornby Farm stay

Enjoy the luxury and charm of the 1840s farmhouse which sits on a 160 acre working farm. Explore the gardens, feed the chooks, goats, horse, sheep, pick fruit and vegetables and say hi to any cows beside the house. Grab a tennis racquet and have a hit on the court or a shot of basketball. At the end of the day, toast marshmallows on the firepit (pending weather/restrictions) & watch the sun set. Enjoy complimentary ingredients to make scones and breakfast of cereal & drinks. The space Thornby Farm offers accommodation for a total of seven guests (including infants), with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a separate toilet. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed, bedroom 2 has a queen and a single bed and bedroom 3 has two single beds. A porta cot is available upon request. Antique furniture features throughout the whole house, and from each room you look out onto the picturesque surrounds of Thornby Farm. A spacious lounge to sit around the woodfire and enjoy a game from the games cupboard or a book from the extensive library. The dining room has an 8-seater extension table, or there is casual seating in the large kitchen area. A table tennis table sits beside a large open fire place – a great place to keep warm of a night! NO smoking is allowed in the house or on the verandahs. Thornby Farm is also available for photo shoots, small functions, birthdays, gatherings, elopements or weddings. The Granary can seat 30 ceremony style or 16 seated at tables and the veranda can seat 24-32 on trestle style tables. There are also locations throughout the garden where a marquee can go. Guest access Guests have sole access to the house and gardens. Access is NOT permitted beyond the garden into any laneways or paddocks unless accompanied by the farmer. Other things to note If you would like to feed the animals with the farmer, please let us know upon booking to arrange a time. Complimentary ingredients are provided for you to make scones. It is a base to explore the Meander Valley region, only 5 minutes from Deloraine and less than 30 minutes to Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm, Ashgrove Cheese, Anvers Chocolates, Mole Creek Wildlife Park, Liffey Falls, Western Tiers Distillery in Westbury, Mole Creek Caves and plenty of other attractions.
