Description
This cosy traditional faroese house from 1930 is located central in the town and in walking distance to café shops and supermarkets. The bus drives directly from the ferry to the house, so it´s not necessary to bring a car to come to the house. This house is perfect, if you like to experience the island of Suðuroy or just to relax in Tvøroyri. Suðuroy is the southern island of the Faroe Islands and has a lot of beautiful places, where you can hike. The host is ready to help you with advices. The space On the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area for 6-8 people and a cosy living room with charming historical furniture. There is a flat screen with chromecast. On second floor there are three bedrooms, in two of them there is a nice view to the bay of Tvøroyri. Every bedroom has two beds, all together 6 beds. In the largest room there are two madrasses as well, so there is space for 8 people. Also there is a baby/toddlers bed and nursery at the bathroom. All the beds are new and ironed bed linned and towels are included in the price. Guest access Guests have full acess to both floors and are welcome to use the washingmachine in the cellar. Also welcome to use the parkingplace in front of the house. Other things to note The house was built in 1930 by my husbands granduncle, Jacob Petersen, who was the harbourmaster. The house is drawn by the architect, Johan Hofgaard, who was his brother-in-law. Johan Hofgaard is also the architect of the church and school in Vágur and the nonconformist chapel, missiónshúsið, in Tvøroyri. My husbands childhoodhome is close to the house og he grew up in this area. In 2020 we bought the house and now it´s back in the family.
