Picturesque Georgian-style bungalow home in keeping with the historic architecture of the area. Located in a scenic, private courtyard with ample parking available. A two-minute stroll from the town square, local cafes, town centre, bars and restaurants. The house backs onto Oxmantown Mall (featuring the Birr Theatre & Arts Centre) and is only five minutes walk from the Birr Castle which houses beautiful gardens and an interactive science centre and treehouse adventure area perfect for kids. The space You will always be made welcome to my cosy home. Perfect location backing onto Oxmantown Mall and only 5 minutes walk from the historic Birr Castle, Birr Theatre, cafe's and shops. Many sites around including the river Shannon, Kinnitty mountains, Lough Boora, Lakelands and Inland Waterway to name just a few. If you like to fish, then Angling in the nearby Brosna River is also an option. Galway, Dublin and Shannon all around one and a half hours drive away. Guest access You will have a compact triple room with one double bed and one single bed, wardrobe with hanging space and drawers. You have access to the kitchen where you can help yourself to Tea/Coffee. Breakfast is not included but you are welcome to make your own. Cereal, toast, fresh fruit and yoghurts available free of charge. You will have the main bathroom in the house - it has a bath and a (low water pressure) shower. This is for your exclusive use and is located just off the bedroom. During your stay I'll be around to help you with advice on local attractions and any other queries you may have. Other things to note Festivals and Events: The annual Birr Vintage Week and Arts Festival takes place in the town in August bank holiday weekend. The festival includes a variety of events over the week long period including the vintage parade, period markets, music & theatre. The Irish Hot Air Balloon Festival takes place in September from the grounds at Birr Castle. The Irish Game and Country Fair takes place in Birr Castle at the end of August and provides a huge range of entertaining and educational activities, displays and attractions over the weekend. Birr Theatre and Arts Centre located in Oxmantown Mall is an important cultural & social amenity for the arts, dance, film music & theatre in the town.
