The Blue Jay Bunkie with loft

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable all season escape! The River View Country Getaway offers a peaceful small private camp ground experience on the Ausable River in Ailsa Craig Ontario. The Blue Jay Bunkie is most appropriate for two adults/ +2 if you don’t mind cozy 108 sq feet of space (plus loft) We are located 20 mins N/W of London and Grand Bend beach is just 25 minutes away. Walk into Ailsa Craig (5 min) for groceries or enjoy the local pub The space The bunkie is 108 square foot tiny space! There is additional loft space with a queen bed. linens provided for the queen bed only. On the main level, there is a futon which converts to a comfy double bed. Linens are not provided for the futon/double bed. (Sleeping bags suggested) bringing a tent or dining shelter for additional space is acceptable. There is no running water in the bunkie but water containers (ie, Culligans) with pump provided for drinking, cooking and clean up. Water station near by as well as Comfort station with composting toilet and outdoor shower with hot water. (*Water will be turned off October to May) Guest access There is a shared riverside deck with picnic table, chairs a large BBQ and a fire pit with an antique pie oven that we use as a pizza oven! There are two kayaks that can be used upon request when the river is high enough. In winter, picture big out door fires , snowshoeing and a warm cozy place to sleep! Other things to note River view country Getaway is a 3 acres private property which contains the owners home and 6 Glamping sites. You are welcome to interact as little or as much as you like with other guests in shared areas. (Deck, outdoor games area) Please note that river side access is challenging and kayaking/canoeing capacity in The Ausable River changes throughout the summer and is dependant on the amount of rainfall. We are a dog friendly property and do request that dogs be leashed but some dog love is possible!
