My place is close to the center historico, the piazza, bars, restaurants, cafes, shops, we are right behind the piazza!! The street is quiet even in Augusto! . You’ll love my place because of its location and design, its an old Italian house with loads of original features, high vaulted ceilings, comfy beds, cute kitchen, two balconies, and the amazing terrace, the view the view the view!!!. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). The space The house is beautiful. Teenagers particularly love sleeping in the two single beds on the mezzanine below the high honey-coloured stone vaulted ceiling. Below the mezzanine is the dining area with its circular table which has four chairs but will seat an extra person too. There is air-conditioning in the first floor living room, with the mezzanine sleeping platform, and in the second floor bedroom. Off the dining area is the fascinating little kitchenette, with its arched stone serving hatch. The kitchen may be compact but it has everything necessary for preparing delicious meals from fresh local ingredients. There is a Smeg electric fan oven, a two burner ceramic hob, a toaster and plenty of utensils. The washing machine, in true Southern Italian fashion, is to be found in a specially weatherproofed cabinet on the lower terrace and there is plenty of room for drying washing on the typical four-wire washing lines extending over the street from the living room balcony. (we supply all bed linen and towels including towels to take to the beach). The living room has a divan which can make into a third single bed. On the second floor is a double bedroom with an attractive ensuite shower room with walk-in shower, pretty blue glass basin and WC (there is a second WC with basin in a tiny cloakroom off the stairway, for the use of guests sleeping on the mezzanine floor). The second floor bedroom has double French doors leading on to Casa Esmeralda’s lower terrace where guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast of coffee and croissants in private. In this sheltered suntrap the garden table with sun umbrella can seat up to six people. Climb the steps to the top terrace and enjoy stunning 360 degree views of the sea, the centro storico of Ostuni, the town’s endless flat rooftops and beyond the blue Adriatic. The apartment has TV with dvd player and a selection of English language films, plus a collection of books for holiday reading. There is also free wireless internet access. This apartment is very popular with honeymooners and wedding guests and couples celebrating an anniversary or birthday, as it is so pretty and romantic. But it is also often chosen by families, specially those with older children. Guest access This property is let as a whole house for you to use.
