Quiet guesthouse with a view. We are located in Northeast GA, 1.5 hours north of Atlanta, 45 minutes from Helen, Clemson and 2 minutes from beautiful Toccoa Falls and historic downtown. Our guest house has 2 beds, two couches, a full kitchen, two baths, two porches and is handicap accessible upon request. The guest house can be used for small parties and get-togethers, for an additional fee beyond the nightly/daily guest fee. Guest often see deer, fox, wild birds and beautiful sunrise/sunsets. This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage sits on top of a knoll overlooking the Chattahoochee Forest. Enjoy the birds on our little knoll and hiking trails throughout the property. NO pets/service animals due to family allergies. We try to meet our guests initially or sometime during the stay, and then we leave you alone. We ask as a courtesy you give us an ETA and ETD prior to your reservation. This would be a great help to us in our planning process. When out for the day, please turn the thermostat to 78 degrees in the summer and 60 in the winter. Check in is after 3:00 pm. Check out is by 11:00 am. Once we greet our guests, we leave you alone. The guest house sits on a ridge at the end of a long gravel driveway. The owner's home is across the driveway. There are no other houses around. It is quiet and beautiful. We are close to many waterfalls (over 40), and hiking trails in Northeast GA. The Gorge is a 15 minute drive from the Cottage. There is winery in almost every direction from our Cottage including one only 10 minutes away. Please note: We are surrounded by woods and although we have regular pest treatment, guests should expect to see a big or two occasionally. You will need a car or a bike to get to and from our guest house. We have some hiking trails on our property which adjoins a city park with additional trails and creeks to enjoy. The train/Amtrak station is 10 minutes away. We are at the entrance to NE GA outdoor playground. Historic Downtown Toccoa is a 10 minute walk away. Beautiful Toccoa Falls (higher than Niagara Falls) is two minutes from our road. There is an additional charge of $50.00 per person per night/day over four guests, not to exceed six people maximum. This includes children of ALL ages. Since there are only beds for four, two people would need to make use of our couches for sleeping. Please note, our fees are for day or night use. To be clear, should you pay for four people to spend the night and additional guests come during the day or night, you would need to pay an additional $50.00 per per person per day. We are firm on this. It is what keeps our guest house nice for future guests. The propane for the gill is complimentary but only if you clean the grill both inside and out after you are done using it. Items left behind will only be mailed back upon request and with a minimum of a $25 charge. “A Special Word About Children” will be sent upon confirmation of reservation. These are general guidelines for things like our antiques, our hiking trails, where to eat on the property, etc. No animals of any kind are allowed inside the cottage due to the family’s medical issues.
