This stylish place to stay, located on the edge of one of the loveliest Historic Downtown areas in Louisiana, is perfect for remote work, visiting family and friends in Leesville/Fort Polk, or when attending many of the Downtown Festivities. The bedroom has a comfortable full-sized bed. There is also a convertible sofa in the living room. WIFI is available, as well as a Roku TV. Our fully functional kitchen is equipped with a stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee maker, and washer/dryer. The space If you're curious about why we call our Tiny Homes, the "Doghouses" it is due to their location and the historical context. The area in which the homes are located on was once the location for housing for the Nona Mills Lumber Company, a progressive business established in Leesville in 1899. The typical home style of the time was the Dogtrot. We have taken the Dogtrot style and reimagined it. We also like to think of these Tiny Homes as great getaways that will make you feel good, even when you may find yourself "in the doghouse." We built these Tiny Homes with our own hands. We hope you will enjoy our homes as much as we do! Guest access You will have full access to Doghouse #1! You will also have access to the shared front porch. One parking spot located in the gravel parking lot directly in front of Doghouse #1 will be available to you. If you need one additional parking spot, or you have a super heavy vehicle, there will be street parking directly in front of Doghouse #1. There is a short gravel walkway from the parking lot to the home, so please be aware of that. Other things to note This listing is for Doghouse #1. There are two units on the property with a joined porch. If you have more than 2 people traveling together and would like to book both units, please check out Doghouse #2 for availability.
