Kathryn's Room - The Historic Gilbert Mansion B&B

Experience the opulence and grandeur of a by-gone era during your stay at the Gilbert Mansion, once home to one of the most prominent families in Northern MN. You'll start each day in our beautiful Dining Room with an elegant multi-course breakfast served on antique china. Our lovely atmosphere is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Complimentary wine and 24/7 snack/beverage bar. The space Lovingly restored 1904 home, completely furnished in period antiques with many belongings of the original owners. Four unique rooms available for rent. Three rooms have Queen beds, and one room has Twin beds. Furnished in the same style it would have been when the Gilbert family resided there, Kathryn's room has a lovely queen size antique iron and brass bed and en suite bath, (no tub). Guest access Guests have access to their own bedroom and bathroom, plus common areas; living room, formal dining room, parlor, large covered front porch and yard/gardens. Guided tours of home available for a fee. Complimentary wine, 24/7 snack and beverage bar, off-street parking, and Free Wi-Fi. During your stay We can interact as much or as little as you want. Both Inn-Keepers, (Tim & Christie), grew up in Grand Rapids and are intimately familiar with the area and all it has to offer. We are always present when guests are in our home. Tim is also a terrific fishing guide. He knows the local lakes extremely well. Ask about guided fishing trips. Other things to note - Our guests appreciate the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere of our home. We do not allow children under 12.
