Meet Family & Friends here! There are 4 great bike/hike trails within a few miles. Golf, conferences & weddings are held at Chestnut Ridge Resort. Sheetz, Dunkin, Taco Bell, KFC, & New Village Institute are an easy walk away. Walmart, McDonalds, El Paso Mexican Grill, RiteAid, and more are just across busy Rt 22/Rt 119. IUP is 19 min./ 14 miles away. There are nearby rivers and lakes for kayaks and boats. This was the Cornell Dairy Farm homestead. Most of the farm was sold for an industrial park The space Over the years this room has held: - In the 1950's - a hay wagon with food for the Cornell family reunions - In the 1960's - milk from the cows on Cornell Farm was pasteurized, homogenized and sold in glass jars customers brought. - In the mid 2010's - a self-serve yogurt/ice cream shop. Check "Cornell Creamery" on Facexxok to see pictures of the playground. The merry-go-round is still here. - In 2022 We have turned it into a studio apartment for visiting Kencove employees and Airbnb. The queen and double beds are always set up. A twin bed will be set up if needed and it is available. A leather Lazy Boy recliner chair is in the room. There is a full size Maytag fridge with a large top freezer. The large butcherblock counters are good for cooking, eating, board games or laptop work. A couple smaller tables from the yogurt shop are present. We include a DVD player so you can rent $2 movies at RedBox in the Walmart entrance area. The bathroom has a newly installed bathtub/shower. If you book for times when there could be snow accumulation, know that snow removal/shoveling is not included. It is very unlikely to be deep enough to be a problem. The parking area slopes slightly toward the road so if you get in, you should have good traction to go back out. Guest access There is what had been the kitchen and icecream machine room which is separated from the main room with only a curtain. The thermostat is in this area to the left of the sinks so you may need access to it. Other than that, we use it for storage and ask you not to use it. Enjoy our over 3 acres that you are free to roam and the merry-go-round but if you use it you acknowledge you accept the safety risk. Also we host the "Farm Cottage" which is a pleasant evening 1/2 mile walk away. You can come down to fish at our pond or picnic at the gazebo . Enjoy the active 170 acre crop farm. Other things to note We may have a twin and/or full bed that we can make up if we know enough time before you arrive. All the beds would be in the same room. Please ask before you book expecting to use this standard double bed. If only 2 people are staying, we expect the one queen bed to be the only bed used unless asked.
