The cottage is ideally located waterfront on the Kearney chain of lakes. Swim, Kayak, fish or just relax on the docks. Gardens, lakefront, docks, bbq and badminton court available for enjoyment We stay in the main cottage and will be coming and going doing our thing. We give guests as much privacy as they need but are not opposed to having a chat or drink. As one of the gateways to Algonquin park the Kearney area offers limitless opportunities for outdoor activities. The "biggest little town of Kearney " offers an antique store, a general store a community center, a legion, a library , a couple of outfitters an Algonquin Park office. a gas station, an LCBO, and several restaurants- Fork on Main, Rawbyn's, Pit 518, the Trailhouse., and Edgewater Restaurant There is a beach, docks and there are parks and trails. The space is serviced by an outhouse with rain barrel of lake water for washing. There is not a plumbed washroom in the mini cottage. This arrangement is quite common for this type of property in the north. We provide 4L of spring drinking water, and a bundle of firewood to get you started. We also make available a kayak or two and pedal boat. With a motorized fishing boat available for rent.
