The space The Highmount Haus has been recently renovated with a focus on design, detail and function. This house is built to be as comfortable as it is beautiful. Fantastic natural light floods the space. Creature comforts are accounted - a cozy fire place in the winter and new split units, air conditioning units for the summer. Or just open up the windows a feel the Catskills summer breeze. The living and dining room is spacious with sloped high ceilings. This area where everyone can gather together and relax looks out to the deck and forest. A sleek open kitchen with contemporary appliances, full Great Jones cookware and dinner service for 6+ awaits the enthusiast or serious chef. Relax and take in the landscape as you bathe in the Japanese soaking tub. Wake up to tranquil views of the forest in the main bedroom. Take time to savor the little things in the space, be it a contemporary light fixture, a photo, or even the beautifully designed fly swatter. Other things to note The space is deep cleaned and disinfected before and after every stay and we are leaving at least 3 days between every booking. Newly renovated kitchen with Bosch fridge and dishwasher, new convection cook top, microwave and oven. Serene surroundings. Netflix and other prime on-demand channels available on our TV, Stanmore Bluetooth speaker. If your working from home the dining table makes a great desk to work from. Of course, new washer & dryer are there for your convenience as well. Wifi works well for tv, zoom meetings, etc. We ask that you treat the home as if it were your own, and leave it as you found it. Upon reservation request please sent email address as we will send you a house rule/rental agreement and you will have 24 hours to sign with government-issued photo ID send it over back. 1. Tampering with ANY security cameras on the property will be resulting in a fine of $1000. We value our guests security/safety. 2. Sorry, no guests other than those listed in your reservation. No commercial photography or videography allowed. 3. NO SMOKING or VAPING inside the house or out on the property. The forest is dry and we do not want to start a wildfire. 4. Shoes off in the house No pets WHAT SO EVER. No parties or additional overnight guests All active fires (fireplace, fire pit, grill) must be fully put out before ending the night or leaving the property 5. *4 night minimum during holidays (MLK Weekend, President's Weekend, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, NYE)* 6. Please understand, we are a few blocks from open fields & a waterway. You might see or encounter wildlife while in our home or neighborhood, including, but not limited to: raccoon, skunk, opossum, birds, bees, wasps, mosquitoes, mice, spiders, ants. These creatures reside in nature and we have no control over them. We cannot control mother nature and therefore do not refund if you encounter her business during your stay.
