A charmingly stylish Cotswolds Cottage

Cotstone is a charming two bedroom, Grade II Cotswold stone cottage within a popular village close to Daylesford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Soho Farmhouse. The cottage is on a quiet private lane, 1 minute walk to the award winning pub, The Hare, and a fabulous bakery. The cottage has been designed by interior designers, Design Box London and every detail has been thought through to ensure the most stylised and comfortable stay possible. All artwork is for sale to create a truly unique experience The space As you enter the charming gate, overgrown in roses, you come into the south-facing front garden, a perfect sun trap and place to enjoy a morning coffee or evening G&T. Once through the door you are faced with the stunning lit up stair case and entrance to both characterful kitchen and sumptuously comfortable sitting room. The kitchen has a dining table for 4 and has been sensitively modernised, equipped with Nespresso coffee machine and everything you should need to make the most of the county’s wonderful produce. The sitting room exudes character with exposed beams and inglenook fire place with log burner, and offers many comforts to help you unwind at the end of the day. The downstairs also boasts oil paintingsn and drawings by local artist and owner of the property, Emily Rose McDonald - all of which are available to buy so please get in touch if these are of interest. Upstairs has two beautifully appointed bedrooms which are decorated in their own individual styles. The master bedroom offers a king size bed and lots of internal hanging space and the guest bedroom comprises of a double bed and spacious dressing room. Both rooms have fantastic bedside views across the Cotswold rooftops. The beds are dressed with deep comfortable mattress toppers, memory foam ‘Emma’ pillows and luxurious 100% linen bedding. The bathroom has both a full sized bath and over head-shower, with large super soft bath-sheets and Cowshed products to enjoy. The location really is the icing on the cake for this luxurious little retreat. Milton-under-wychwood seems to be getting better and better and now not only boasts one of the best pubs in the Cotswolds (The Hare), but it now also has a charming cafe (Rise & Flour) which bakes it's own sourdough every morning as well as lots of other goodies. There is also a Co-op, antique barn and Garden shop. For little ones there is the most amazing playground just around to corner with plenty of equipment for any age and lots of space for children and dogs to run around. So whether you’re walking 1 minute to the pub for supper, or up to road to the bakery for breakfast… you can hopefully forget about your car a bit for this holiday. Cotstone is also 10mins from Kingham station (1.30hrs to London), 10mins to Daylesford Organic, 25minutes to Soho Farmhouse, 15minutes to Bourton-On-The-Water and 20minutes to Bibury- The PERFECT Cotswold location. As hosts we are very hands on and are happy to help where we can and direct you to the best things to do in the Cotswolds to make your stay extra special. We are also happy to accept any well behaved 4 legged friends (on request), as we know it’s just not the same going away without them. IG: @cotstone_cottage Guest access Parking and offloading is not permitted outside of the cottage gate or anywhere on the private lane (The Terrace), however, on street parking is permitted outside the lane (20 yards away) on the main village road and anywhere in else in the village also where permitted. There is also ample parking on the green 1 minutes walk away. Other things to note Check In & Check Out You are welcome to arrive at Cotstone Cottage from 3pm and we kindly ask you to leave by 10am. If we can accommodate different times to enable you to enjoy a longer stay, we will certainly do our best. Upon arrival to Cotstone, you can find the keys in the key safe, in a black box to the left of the front door on the wall. Open the cover, type the code and pull to open. Remove the key, lock and replace the cover. Upon check out, please leave the keys in the box. The code will be issued on the day of arrival.
