Relax with the whole family at this peaceful cabin located in Timberon, NM that is nicely snuggled in the Sacramento Mountains. Timberon is a 32 mile scenic drive from Cloudcroft. We are located at 7000' elevation at the southern tip of the Sacramento Mountains, surrounded by the Lincoln National Forest. Our two bedroom cabin is completely renovated. New stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, completely furnished kitchen, washer and dryer. Cozy fireplace. Fully furnished. Enjoy The space Private covered deck with magnificent views of the Sacramento Mountains. Cozy fireplace, living room seating for 6 and dining for 8. Bedrooms have a king size bed, queen size bed and the living room sofa has a full size pullout. Washer and dyer in each unit. Totally new kitchen with granite countertops, stainless appliances and all the kitchen gadgets you need for your family meals. The back porch has a propane BBQ grill, and the front porch is equipped with hand crafted rocking chairs that you can sit in to see the amazing views and sunrise. There is a firepit than can be used when there are no fire restrictions. You have access to our large 2100 sq ft outdoor deck and 6000 sq ft entertainment area, which can be reserved for weddings, family reunions, corporate events. We are surrounded by Lincoln National Forest with hundreds of miles of trails for exploring. If you bring your side by side, please make sure it has spark arrestors, it is properly licensed for off road use, and you drive responsibly on our community roads. We are just steps away from the High Country Lounge and package store, where you can get a quick bite to eat, enjoy a cocktail or join us for Saturday night Karaoke. Don't forget your fishing rod, we are a rock throw from the stocked fishing lake and border Timberon's nine hole golf course. You will need a New Mexico Fishing license, available at Wal Marts. Bring your swimming trucks during the summer so you can enjoy our community pool. We also have a 5200' foot airstrip, open to the public. Timberon is a diamond in the rough that is just being rediscovered. It is the most wide open and tranquil of all the Sacramento mountain communities. Pack for adventure or just sit back and enjoy the tranquility that Timberon has to offer. Do as much or as little as you want. Other things to note The closest gas station is in Cloudcroft. Deb's Mountain Market and Way out West Mercantile have grocery essentials plus bait and tackle supplies, but you should bring most of your groceries with you. Connie's Deli is open Tuesday through Saturday. They have delicious pizza, homemade subs, delicious salads, daily specials and desserts. The High Country Lounge has Burgers and grill items. They are open daily except Wednesdays.
