This stunning villa enjoys a pool , hot tub , housekeeper ( mon-fri ) and multiple secluded gardens . Set in superb surroundings its African Lapa is the perfect location for enjoying stunning sunsets and amazing views. There’s a family friendly heated pool and numerous balconies and patios that embrace the magnificent mountain landscape. Sit having watching the sun set over Hout Bay or soak in the hot tub and put a steak on the barbecue. Camps bay and Hout bay have restaurants galore. The space Beyond the stunning views and amazing architecture Pepper House has unlimited high speed fibre Wi-Fi (75mbps) , a backup solar inverter system , a backup rainwater harvesting system and a housekeeper* so you can work or play to your hearts content ! The house is situated on the South West slopes of Table Mountain National Park with direct access to all it has on offer yet only minutes from the Hout Bay Beach . The large terrace and heated outdoor pool enjoy the best possible S.W exposure and you will benefit from long hours of sunshine , wonderful sunsets and the stunning views of Hout Bay and the mountains . The house is also well situated and well designed to mitigate the cape winds with multiple internal and external entertaining areas including a landscaped fynbos garden, african lapa hut , pergola with swinging chairs and tranquil fishpond. Power cuts seem to be in the past but the house is fitted with solar panels and back up batteries so you will be in one of the few houses where the lights stay on if the power goes off ! There is enough power to keep the beers cold , the Wi-Fi up and running and the TVs on too !There is also an eco friendly secondary rainwater supply to boost the mains water supply and reduce water usage . Pepper House is an architect designed , 450 m2, light and spacious villa with vaulted ceilings in the main living area . The kitchen is fully equipped to satisfy even the most demanding home chef and the bedrooms all come with air conditioning . A log burner in the living room will keep you warm on cold winter nights but occasionally you may need to wrap up warm so we provide blankets and throws too . (Although Pepper House is not a party venue we do permit guests to host small scale events by prior permission and with special terms and conditions so feel free to enquire as to how we may accommodate you .) A Fibre connection provides high speed unlimited wifi throughout the house . All linen and towels are provided ( for the bathroom , pool and beach ) along with soaps and shampoos in the bathrooms . Security is first class with electric gates and fences as well as house alarms and 24 hr response armed security and the The Scott estate is also monitored by 24 hour cctv and local response units . Other things to note Pepper house is over 4 floors with one block consisting of 3 beautiful double bedrooms . The top floor master bedroom enjoys a kingsize bed , private balcony , walk in wardrobe and extra large bathroom and shower . It can be made into a twin on request . The 2 queen bedrooms on the ground floor provide direct access to the rear garden and look over the fish ponds and hot tub barbq recreation areas. These rooms are linked by a delightful coridoor to the main living area and pool. The ground floor of the house is where you will find the French patio king bedroom ( which can made up as a twin ). And finally the family room is also on the ground floor . The family room provides very flexible sleeping arrangements for up to 6 … there is a king bed which can be spit into two singles and there are two double beds in a bunk bed formation . In addition the family room benefits from its own smart tv ! Please not we do not recommend 6 adults share … but we leave that up to you . All the bedrooms are ensuite and air conditioned. The main dining is set for 10 but there are extra tables and chairs . There is a large gas BBQ and outdoor dining area . In the summer you can access the garden pergola and relax in the swing chairs .; or head up to the Larpa; The perfect spot for an evening Chardonnay or a spot of yoga . Cape Town can be cold in winter but houses aren’t really designed around it , so whilst it can get chilly we provide blankets and furs and heated sheets . There is also heating in the bedrooms but please remember that electricity is in crisis is South Africa ..it is extremely expensive . Please use sensibly . There are smart tv’s in the lounge ,the master bedroom and family room with DSTV and Netflix if you have your own accounts. The Scott estate is a quiet residential area and loud parties will not be tolerated.The neighbours reserve the right to call out the local authorities in cases of non compliance. So , please respect the neighbours and keep noise to an acceptable level . Many thanks for your cooperation. NO SMOKING MEANS NO SMOKING . We provide delightful smoking areas outside . Guests who ignore the policy may be charged for the cost of cleaning the curtains etc to get rid of the smell . It’s not cheap, so please don’t smoke ! The wonderful housekeeper , Lydia , lives onsite ( in an interconnected flat in the ground floor ) and will be available 7 days a week for checkin and checkout . *She cleans mon-fri but please feel free to enquire with her about any other services that you may require such as ironing or baby sitting .Similarly she may be hired at weekends and out of hours by private arrangement . Pool . Whilst it is heated we can’t guarantee it will be hot during the winter as much depends on rainfall , cape storms and guests keeping the cover on ! If you particularly know that you want to swim in the winter please let us know and we will run the heater for a few days . In the winter the hot tub comes into its own ! Cooking : there are 5 gas rings, an electric oven , microwave grill , 3 electric cooking pots and a barbecue!
