Shenandoah Sunrise Cabin is the perfect woodsy retreat atop Massanutten Mountain with stunning year-round views of the Shenandoah River & Blue Ridge Mountains. Built in 2020, the cabin boasts a modern kitchen & central heating/cooling. Situated on just over 3 acres, the cabin is the perfect spot to relax or explore. Unwind on the covered decks, hike, boat, swim, visit wineries/breweries & explore Luray Caverns, Shenandoah National Park, GW/Jefferson National Forest and the Shenandoah River! The space Enjoy the coziness of a log cabin without sacrificing modern conveniences! Located within Massanutten Forest community, you reach the cabin via a partially gravel/partially paved road. The cabin's driveway is paved, but quite steep. You can comfortably park up to 3 cars. KITCHEN: We love to cook and therefore the kitchen features granite countertops, brand new appliances, and quality knives and pans. Everything you need to make a meal and then some! LAYOUT: The main floor consists of open-floor plan kitchen, dining, and living area; queen bedroom; twin bunkbed room; and a full bath (shower/tub combo). Upstairs has the owner's suite (queen bed) with large full bath (shower and separate tub), electric fireplace and walk-in closet as well as a desk setup for any work needs. Downstairs is a family room with comfortable seating area and television, a full bath, laundry room, and a game room with Pop-A-Shot and a table for boardgames or cards. OUTDOORS: Situated on just over three acres, the area is heavily wooded. You are welcome to explore (keeping in mind the property boundaries marked with neon pink ribbon), but be advised that terrain is mostly steep as we are on the side of a mountain! Two covered porches provide year round views of the Shenandoah River and Blue Ridge Mountains. The side deck provides the main access to the cabin and a Blackstone griddle. The uncover deck hosts a SoloStove firepit and chairs for up to six that allows you to enjoy evening fires with minimal smoke and is surrounded by solar twinkle lights. KID FRIENDLY: Traveling with kids is both rewarding and a lot of work! To ease the burden, we provide the following: - Toys/Books - Pack and Play - High Chair - Stroller - Hiking backpack - Baby/Kids flatware, plates and cups - Sound machines in all bedrooms INTERNET: Unlimited high-speed Starlink WIFI provided; network and passcode are posted in the living room. Smart (Roku) TVs allow guests to stream from their own accounts (no cable). - 1 TV in the main floor living room - 1 TV in the primary bedroom suite - 1 TV in the queen bedroom on the main floor - 1 TV in the downstairs family room LINENS/TOWELS We provide all linens and towels to ensure your have a comfortable stay. TOILETRIES Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap are provided. We also have a small "in case you forgot" selection of toiletries in the primary bedroom suite closet. NO SMOKING PROPERTY - There is no smoking or vaping of any kind permitted on the property or within the cabin. You will receive the code for the keypad prior to arrival. Guests will have access to the entire cottage with the exception of the owner's storage areas. A full welcome guide with house rules and area information will be available in the home and online via our website. Other things to note INCLEMENT WEATHER Accessing the cabin requires traversing a partially paved/partially gravel road. The cabin's driveway is paved, but quite steep. Please note that if snow or ice is possible during your stay, four wheel drive is may be advisable. During other seasons and when there is no snow, we frequently access the cabin in our minivan without issue :) NOISE Our community has a noise ordinance between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. We ask that guests kindly refrain from loud noises during this timeframe. NEIGHBORHOOD SPEED LIMIT Our neighborhood has a maximum speed limit of 15 mph. We ask that guests observe this for their own and others safety as some of the roads are quite steep. SEPTIC SYSTEM The cottage has a septic system. Grease and oil must never be allowed down any of the sink drains. Food particulars should be scrapped into a trashcan prior to rinsing in the sink. Feminine hygiene products must be thrown away in the trash can and not flushed down a toilet. Never flush solid trash down the toilet with the exception of natural waste.
