Description

Relax (and work) as digital nomads or business delegation, or with the whole family at this peaceful and safe place to stay outside Dar. You can be serviced for tanzanian tea & breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can choose to use the 4WD Toyota Hilux Surf car for visits to national parks and visits to Dar es Salaam, Bagamoyo and surroundings. You can choose to have a local driver and guide to get you the best deals. If you want to use our business- or tourist/travel networks, this can be arranged. The space There are three buildings on the (fenced) plot. 1. The main house is used as a ‘family visit’ stay for us, a dutch/tanzanian couple (owners). 2. The second house is used by our sister and brother-in-law (and 1 of their 3 children), 3. The third house is used for cooking and storage, and guests/family visitors. Members of the Tanzanian family, who assist the farmer for the animals (goats, pigs, ducks, chicken, dogs) and crops (mais, banana’s, cassave, and other) can stay either in the house or (if you need more than one room) in the rooms in the third house. Whenever we are not using the house, it can be used by our AirBNB guests. And added to this stay we can advise or even organise a number of unique experiences in Tanzania for our guests. E.g.: 1. Visit National Park(s) (300 km) with elephants, girafs, lions, alligators, leapards, antiliopes, 2. Visit local markets (5 km) and help you with shopping and learn you to cook Tanzanian food; 3. Visit Dar es Salaam (25 km), highlights centre, beach resorts, workspots, markets (Kariakoo); 4. Going out to enjoy yourselves in restaurants, bars, nightlife/events, and bring you back safe; 5. Special trainings like african traditional dancing, music lessons / drums; We have a car at the accomodation, a Toyota Hilux Surf 4WD. If you arrive in Tanzania by plane you will be welcomed at the airport, and our driver will take you to the farmhouse if you like. You can hire the car -and drive yourselves around- with the house (€55 per day (2022) excl. petrol), or you can use the public transport options, including taxi-services and/or hire our driver (and your guide) & car per occasion, especially recommended if you have no or only limited experience in driving in an african country. Guest access All area’s, except house 2 bedroom, of sister of the owner and her husband (brother (in law)) and their child, are considered as spaces for everybody to use. The house is guarded by the brother-in-law, his wife, the house-help who is also family, and one stronghand help for the farm. They take care of the goats, pigs, and other animals in the farm. Other things to note Breakfast ‘tea’ is generally prepared around 9-10 h: tea, chapati (pancakes), mandazi, whitebread, juice, it will all be made at the kitchen, or bought and delivered, as you like best. The lunch (hot meal) is served between 13-15 h. The dinner (2nd hot meal) is served between 19-20.30 h. Depending on your requests in the morning or arranged on the days before.
