You are 2.5 miles from the village of Penuwch. 9 miles from the market town of Tregaron, 10 miles from the Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron with its colourful elegantly painted town houses and an array of independent shops, 11 miles from the historic market town of Lampeter and 18 miles from the seaside town of Aberystwyth. The area has plenty of walking and cycling routes and if you're feeling really energetic, you could walk Ceredigion's 60 mile Coast Path. The National Trust Georgian country estate of Llanerchaeron is just 2½ miles south east of Aberaeron. Just a bit further down the coast, you will find the seaside town of New Quay, with picturesque houses, pubs and restaurants clinging to the side of the hills. Cardigan Bay is the one of the best destinations for seeing dolphins in Europe and boat trips are available for dolphin spotting. A trip to the seaside town of Aberystwyth is a must where you can find the National Library of Wales, take the Vale of Rheidol Steam train to the world famous Devil's Bridge falls or ride the longest funicular electric cliff railway in Britain to the summit of Constitution Hill with one of the world's largest camera obscuras.
