There is a Gym and Spa just across the street. The Hof, cultural and conference building is located across the street as well. Akureyri church with it's famous 2 towers is only 5 min. walk away along with the public pool of Akureyri, a local favourite and a fun activity for any day of the year. The Botanical Gardens, blooming and boosting with life in summer is a nice 10 min. stroll from the apartment. Continue from there into the scenic old town of Akureyri where you will also find the Akureyri museum offering interesting exhibitions. All main grocery stores are from 5-15 min. walk away from the apartment. The one that is open longest is the nearest to the apartment. Akureyri airport is 5 min. drive away or 30 min. walk and there is a walking path all the way to the airport from the apartment. You will find electric scooters to rent all over town. City buses are free and will take you all over town. Taxi station is located downtown, 5 min. walk away. Library & movie theatre are 5 min. walk away as well. You get the point, it's very central ;) Plenty of free public parking directly in front of the apartment. It is easy to walk and drive around the town.
