While the home has two small TVs, we encourage you to enjoy the peaceful views and surroundings. Guests can log in to their own streaming accounts (such as Netflix) on the smart TV. Important Electrical Notice: Due to the home's age, the electrical capacity is limited. Running multiple air conditioners at once can trip the breaker and temporarily cut power. If power goes out: Check the breaker panel on the first floor across from the bathroom and reset the tripped switch. In some cases — especially in the pink room — certain outlets may not restore power right away even after resetting the breaker. If this happens, simply plug the AC unit into a different wall outlet within the same room. This workaround helps keep everything running smoothly without frequently tripping the breaker. Please avoid using high-powered appliances simultaneously to reduce the risk of outages. Beach Access: You have access to our backyard beach. The main beach is about a 5-minute drive away or a beautiful 20 min walk. Beach passes for the main town beach are required only for parking, but are not provided. You can park at the town hall and walk 5 min down to the beach. Historic House Note: This is a historic property with original features, including seven decorative fireplaces (some non-working). You may notice a distinct antique-type odor due to age and prior fireplace use. While the home is full of character, some guests are sensitive to smells and may need to take this into account, and young children need to be supervised if fireplaces are being used. Outdoor Area: Take in stunning waterfront views from multiple vantage points, including the private balcony off the primary bedroom, and all the other bedrooms and living spaces. Enjoy our home-built water fountain and planted garden. On the far side of the yard, away from the main entertainment area, there is a small section with wooden flooring and a fence structure currently covered with a blue-and-brown tarp. This area is reserved for owner use. While we haven’t had the chance to update that space yet, it’s tucked away and doesn't affect the overall enjoyment of the backyard. Historic Features This home is full of original charm, including seven historic fireplaces that are no longer in use. While they add character, please be aware that there is a noticeable old-house smell throughout the property, due to their former use and the home’s age. We've taken every step to clean and maintain the space, but the smell may not be ideal for those sensitive to scents or for very young children. Please plan accordingly. Amenities Air Conditioning: Each bedroom has its own AC unit for personalized comfort. Outdoor Grill: A gas grill is available during the summer months. Kayaks: Two kayaks are provided for guests to enjoy the waterfront. Towels: Two towel sets are provided per bed, and beach towels can be found in the hallway bathroom. Kitchen: Fully stocked with a coffee maker, toaster, oven, and basic cookware. (Note: The ice machine may occasionally malfunction.) Pet Policy While we love animals, pets are not allowed at this property. Important Notes Staircases: The stairs to the second and third floors are narrow and steep—please use caution, especially with luggage or small children. Bedroom Layout: All bedrooms are on the second and third floors. There is no bathroom on the third floor. Electrical Advisory: The home has limited electrical capacity due to its age. Running multiple air conditioners simultaneously may occasionally trip the breaker. If the power goes out, the breaker box is located on the first floor, across from the bathroom. In the pink room, sometimes power isn’t restored to all outlets even after resetting the breaker. In that case, simply plug the AC unit into a different outlet within the room to resolve the issue. This approach helps maintain power to all rooms and reduces the chance of repeated outages. Beach Access: The nearest main beach is a 20-minute drive. Beach passes are required and not provided. Historic House Advisory: Due to the home’s age and original features, there is a distinct smell that may not be ideal for everyone. Constant supervision is advised if bringing young children. Come experience the warmth and character of our historic waterfront retreat. We look forward to hosting you! Registration details RE.04069-STR
