We highly recommend you bring any perishable items you’d like during your stay. HEATING & COOLING No matter the weather on the trail, the central heating and air will keep it a perfect 68-74 degrees. Please note that the gas fireplace is for ambiance and should not be used as a key heat source. INTERNET Cell service is very limited in this area, however, you can connect your cell to the WiFi for calls. Wifi is generally available and suitable for streaming, surfing the web, and answering emails. Our Internet Service Provider cannot provide High-Speed Internet to the area and the modem will struggle with a large number of devices or heavy usage. Guest access OUTDOOR SPACE Large yard with two porches, grill, patio furniture, and a firepit. The wide front porch with its comfy seating provides an ideal spot for a cup of coffee while enjoying the sunrise. Fire up the grill on the back porch and kick back around the firepit to appreciate the sunset. We are in nature and do share the area with bugs and wildlife. We recommend bug spray for all your outdoor adventures. As the Buffalo National River has gained status as an International Dark Sky Park (IDSP) and we encourage you to kick back on a lawn chair and enjoy the big starry skies that the Buffalo National River is known for. Amateur astronomers and star gazers may want to bring along a telescope. Other things to note GETTING THERE Located 20 minutes west of Hwy 16 to Redstar and about 30 minutes southeast of Ponca. The dirt road to the house is steep, bumpy, and winding. 4WD is not required. No Pets allowed. No Smoking inside. PARKING The parking area is large enough for 4 standard vehicles ENTRY Hassle-free, Self Check-in - Your code will be provided after booking. Codes are changed after every guest. Check-in: 4 PM Check-out: 10 AM BRING YOUR OWN The property is located in a dry county so if you want adult beverages, you will have to bring them with you.
