Description
Relax in the south side of this eco-chic adobe duplex! Close to Downtown, UNM, CNM and the Airport, this is the perfect spot for your ABQ getaway. The cheery living room opens to a spacious kitchen. In the bedroom, the Keetsa queen mattress has luxurious bamboo sheets and organic pillows. Enjoy complimentary handmade soaps and Los Poblanos shampoo and conditioner. In the evening, the elevated patio is the perfect spot to enjoy New Mexico's beautiful sunsets. The space This historic duplex is made of adobe walls and stucco and was originally built in 1929. There is a shared patio on the front of the house. When you enter the door on the southside, you are welcomed by a cheery living room with a cozy couch that opens into a queen size bed with a memory foam mattress. There are linens and a duvet in bins under the queen bed in the bedroom. The combined kitchen/dining room is equipped with kitchen appliances, a small sink and faucet and a cutting board. There are kitchen supplies in the mirrored armoire and in the pantry closet, where you'll find the trash and recycling cans, the toaster oven, glassware and a wooden salad bowl and bamboo colander. On the beverage caddy, there is a smeg coffee maker and a smeg electric tea kettle. Enjoy complimentary gourmet coffee from Cornerstone Roasters, which roasts coffee a few blocks from the duplex and handmade teas locally mixed by Manana Botanicals. We also provide organic sugar, but, due to allergies and shelf life, we do not offer creamer, unless we receive a specific request in advance. All items are available for use during your stay. Please do not take them with you. The next space is an office area with a desk, a Miele washer and dryer, and a local products shelf if you'd like to purchase items during your stay (all other items throughout the space are for your complimentary use while visiting). The office has a half wall into the bedroom, where there is a queen size bed, a built in armoire, and a tiny bedside stool. The entrance to the bathroom is in the bedroom. The bathroom has an antique vanity and clawfoot tub plus a brand new toilet and ample towel bars and hooks. There are organic towels left out for your use, and extras in the closet for your use as well. There is a private side yard, which is accessed through the office, and a shared rustic backyard. Guest access This is the south side of a duplex, and you access the space by walking up two flights of stairs and entering the door on the south side (to the right if you are facing the building). When you walk in, there is living room area with a couch that pulls out into a queen sofa bed with a memory foam mattress. There's a smart tv, where you may log into any of your accounts, including hulu, prime and netflix. The open dining area has a table and two chairs plus a refrigerator, coffee and tea station, microwave, armoire filled with essentials like plates, bowls and mugs, and a toaster oven. The lights are on dimmers, so you may slide the switches to adjust the lighting. The trash and recycling are in the closet. There are large bins on the north side of the duplex, where you may deposit your trash and recycling before checking out. Please walk through the yard or on the sidewalks rather than the porch so as not to disturb the other guests. The bathroom has a clawfoot tub and an enclosed shower surround, so you may either take a shower or bath in the tub. If you pull the shower curtain in front of the hot and cold valves, it will prevent water from spilling out. There is an antique style vanity where the hair dryer and extra toilet paper are stored. The claw foot tub is quite deep. The bedroom features a queen size bed with bamboo sheets and a buffy eucalyptus duvet insert. The office is connected to the bedroom but separated by a half wall. There is a desk with a chair. The bedroom blinds are blackout drapes, but the office shades let in light, so there is some light that comes into the bedroom. The bedroom light is also on a dimmer. There is a built in armoire with hangers and a bottom drawer. Other things to note The Bespoke Duplex is an historic property, so there are many antique details like the original wood floors, windows and doors. The door from the dining area to the office area is a swing door and does not have a latch or lock. The bathroom door also does not have a lock. While the wall separating the two units is made of adobe bricks, there is still noise transfer between the two units, so you can hear the guests on the other side. Quiet hours are from 10 pm-7 am. There is a snooze white noise machine in the closet, which I personally love to use wherever I go. Please do not flush anything other than the toilet paper provided down the toilet. You will 100% clog the toilet and cause plumbing issues if you flush anything else in the toilet. Please hand wash and dry any pots and pans that you use. They are all high performance, unique and expensive items. The instructions are provided in side the items, so please follow all directions and do not place anything in the oven or dishwasher that is not safe for that use. Wood items should NEVER be put in the dishwasher, so please do not use the dishwasher for any of the beautiful wood items provided. The knives should be washed and dried after each use. Do not put them in the dishwasher.
