Warm in winter, Cool in Summer. Passiv houses have all year round comfort. Our house, Duramen, means “Heart of the Wood” and we in the heart of an AONB Area of outstanding natural beauty. Built entirely from wood, it is set in a wooded valley and a set of steps lead you down to the courtyard front door. Just 6 miles from Bristol Airport and yet within easy driving distance of Bristol, Bath, Glastonbury as well as the smallest city in England, Wells. The visitor attractions of Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole Caves, SS Great Britain and the Helicopter Museum are all less than 30mins driving time. If you don’t fancy driving then walks start from the front door along bridle ways leading through woodlands, if you fancy a longer walk and a bit of an adventure then steeper tracks lead upwards to the summit of Dolebury Iron Age Hill Fort and in good weather incredible views across the Bristol Channel to Wales. A longer walk combined with a pub lunch, with a choice of nine pubs within walking distance, is a perfect day out. Would you like to try Pony Trekking or Caving?
