Beetlehut (shepherds hut)

Enjoy our shepherds hut in a secluded cottage garden. We're on a very quiet and peaceful lane about 10 minutes walk into Graffham where you'll find our village shop and two great pubs. Immediately on leaving the property you are walking into the heart of the South Downs National Park with many varied walks of heathlands, woodlands and fields. The foot of the South Downs escarpment is approx 400m away for those who are more adventurous to walk (or ride) to the top of the Downs. The space The Beetlehut has been hand built by its owners and thoughtfully designed to maximise the space and offer comfort and interior touches perfect for a romantic getaway and base to explore the area. Built and furnished in 2022, the hut has a cabin-style king bed with luxury linens and covers. The kitchenette is provided with everything you need for hot beverages and light meals. You'll have a small fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and toaster. Hot water is on-demand so the bathroom contains a thermostatic shower, a small wash basin and a proper toilet. The living area contains a comfy chair and two stools can be found under an expandable table - a quiet working space away from home. (Not applicable for Goodwood event dates) Guest access You'll be staying in our secluded cottage garden, accessed via our driveway and across a lawn. We have provided outside chairs/table and a chiminea. You are screened from our house for your privacy. Other things to note The shepherds hut contains caravan amenities due to the electric hook-up being limited to 16amps. We have therefore needed to furnish the hut with low wattage applicances so the kettle may take a little longer to boil than you are used to. There are a couple of spare sockets and USB ports to charge your laptop/phones, but please be aware that using every appliance at the same time is not possible. We have full-fibre broadband which you share with our house. You should be able to stream TV from your devices or join the network for wifi calling if your mobile coverage is poor.
