The Honey House - Walk to Downtown and Train

Bee our guest! The Honey House is located a few short blocks from Historic Downtown Van Buren. You can walk to restaurants, shops, the King Opera House and board The Arkansas Missouri Excursion Train. We are located a half mile from Interstate 40 and about 5 miles from Ft. Smith. This house was once owned by the proprietors of LaRue's Honey House, formerly located in the downtown area. Your stay includes a jar of local Arkansas honey to enjoy and take home! #honeyhousevb The space The Honey House has all the charm of staying at Grandma's house, but has been renovated and updated with modern conveniences. As with any 85 year old home, it has its quirks but is a comfortable space for a couple or small group. There are some tight spaces and narrow doorways. We are pet friendly, but please note that the yard is small and not fenced. At this time, we cannot accommodate construction crews. Guest access You will have access to the whole home, however we ask that you only access the basement in the case that an emergency exit is needed. The exit door is clearly marked and locked. The stairs are steep and could be dangerous especially for small children and the elderly. Other things to note We share a driveway with the house next door. Please do not block the driveway under any circumstances! We ask that you utilize the driveway as 5 min loading zone only. Long-term parking is in the carport behind the house (you’ll see an Airbnb parking sign) or on the street. If you leave your car in the driveway and the neighbors can't get out, your car will be subject to tow. At this time, we cannot accommodate construction crews.
