The front yard is exclusively for Seal House guests and the backyard/bouldered firepit are shared w/guests who stay at our luxury Tiny House which is on the property as well. Owners live in the tiny fisherman's shack on the property as well as living 5 houses down at another home called Eagle's Landing. One car only at Seal House and if you need additional parking you can park for free at our other parking spot down the street at Eagles' Landing. ***Owners have exclusive access to basement which has a separate entrance on back of house. We are either here on the property staying at the Fisherman's Shack or at our other property five doors down called, EAGLES LANDING. If bonfire pit is requested then owner will provide, weather depending. Owners have exclusive access to the basement from the outside of the house on a side entrance. Seal House is located 2 blocks from the local IGA grocery store (opened until 7p.m.), The Inn On The Wharf restaurant is just two minutes away down the street and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7-days a week depending on the time of year. Lubec's downtown Water Street is a five-plus minute walk with the Lubec Brewing Company and several other restaurants and shops. Bar Harbor Bank is a 5-minute walk and Mowry Beach is approximately 10-minute walk. Campobello island in New Brunswick, Canada is a quarter of a mile away. ****Restaurants are normally closed in Lubec from the end of October until the beginning/middle of May. Seal House is on under a half acre and we have two tiny houses as well on the property. One is a luxury tiny house short-term rental and the other is a fisherman's tiny house where the owners reside (They also have another property where they live as well down the street) The neighborhood is quiet and relaxing and Lubec is a working fishing village. Seal House is located on the peninsula of Lubec called "Flaggs Point" and is surrounded by salt water on three sides. Restaurants, bars, whale watches, downtown Lubec, grocery story, bank, etc are all within 2-10 min walk from house. One car is permitted for Seal House and there is additional private parking at our other location, Eagles' Landing, 5 doors down. Please note that if you have challenges with stairs, or are very tall, then SEAL HOUSE is probably not the right fit for you. This is a 100-plus year old home and all of the bedrooms are upstairs. People who have difficulty w/staircases etc may consider staying at our luxury tiny house on the property instead which is all one level. If you are over 5'10" tall then you will have to slightly duck your head when entering the CAPTAIN'S QUARTERS. The top of the door entrance is approx 5'10" and the ceiling height is approximately 7' plus feet. Seal House is located in the heart of the town of Lubec. Our property is under half an acre in size. We strive to provide a peaceful and relaxing environment for our guests. We ask that our guests please be considerate of our guests staying at the Tiny House as well as our neighbors. ***No outside guests permitted on the property without owners permission. ***SEAL HOUSE is not child-proof both inside the house and outside. Infants and children are welcomed and we enjoy hosting them as long as parents are aware of the following: 1) Steep stairs and no stair gate. 2) We have no locks on kitchen/bathroom cabinet doors. 3) We do not have a high chair or pack n' play. 4) We do not have outlet covers nor window guards. 5) Our bouldered fire pit area is not fenced in. 6) We have some fragile items/artwork/furniture in the house. We DO have some plush toys, games and books for young people in the house as well as a front yard that’s exclusively yours for kids to play in. ***No indoor lighted candles allowed except in living room, kitchen and mudroom. ***Use of fire pit is at your own risk. ***No commercial filming without prior permission
