Relax with the whole family at this peaceful cabin in the heart of the Adirondacks! 3 bedrooms, one bathroom, full kitchen & living room with laundry on site. Secluded in the woods with no neighbors in sight. Enjoy peaceful ADK days exploring the region & nights by the outdoor fire pit listening to nature and gazing at the stars! Lakes, rivers, hiking trails, mountains, adventures restaurants galore! You are located in the heart of the ADK- take full advantage! The space The 1500 sq/ft cabin was built in 2012 and the inside was finished in 2020. The home sits on 3 acres. Everything is basically brand new. We are still working on a few small projects in the home, but nothing that would impede your stay! We come to the cabin 1-2x a month so there is always improvements or updates being made to the property. When you arrive, guests enter through the front door, under the lean too, off the driveway where the "Welcome" sign is hanging. You will enter your 4 digit code into the front door keypad and step up into the entryway of the home. You will be met by the fresh smell of the knotty pine that fills the home still. The home has an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings and plenty of windows for natural light. A great space for entertaining. Directly in front of you is the laundry room. To the right is the door that accesses the garage that is closed off to guests. When you go left, you will enter into the main living area that has wood floors. The living room has a sofa that has two automatic recliners and cell phone charging ports, an automatic recliner chair with cell phone charging units, another armed chair and a pine futon/sofa. There are many pillows and fleece blankets to cozy up with during the fall/winter nights. Located in the living room as well is a book case that has puzzles, books and family games. The corner stoned wall is being worked on to have an added fire place unit added this fall. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances. Refrigerator with ice maker and water, electric stove, dishwasher and above range microwave. Coffee maker and wine bottle night light located on the counter. There is a drip coffee maker and filters provided. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, toaster, electric griddle, strainer, crock pot, waffle maker, utensils, some paper products, etc. If you have questions on specifics - just ask! There are french doors off the kitchen that open to the back of the house where the fire pit is located. The back yard is NOT filled with lush grass. It is natural growth that is maintained on a biweekly basis. The back yard has a large fire pit with 8-10 Adirondack chairs for seating. There are marshmallow sticks and a fire pit cooker. To the left corner of the property is a nature trail about .25 mile around to the front of the property. The trial is marked with yell or arrows to follow. The door located off the living room leads to the outside picnic table, propane grill, two hammocks hanging, and additional Adirondack seating. Plug in the patio string lights at night and enjoy!! The front yard is natural growth with ferns, new growth pines and some grass. There are many stumps where trees have been removed, we are working to have them removed. Please be careful! There are three bedrooms total, two are located downstairs. All of them with carpeted floors. First room we refer too as the "master". It has an adjustable full bed frame, 2 dressers, a tv that connects to the firestick, a rocking chair looking out into the woods, ceiling fan, small light next to bed, books and children's toys located in the closet. Also in the closet is a pack and play folded up. The other room we refer too as the "fishing” room. This is the smallest of the three rooms. It has a locally hand made log bunk bed with fish themed fleece blankets and large plush fish pillows. The bunk beds is a full on the bottom and a twin on the top. There is a dresser and a plug in standing fan. The third room is located upstairs. There is a queen bed on a pine wood frame. The full bed is on a metal frame in the corner of the room. There is a ceiling fan, window a/c unit and floor fan. This room has a TV that only works with the DVD player. Some DVD's are there for use, many are kids movies. There is also a rocking chair over looking the woods. You can look out into the woods and many times see wild life roaming all over. Please note, bed sheets are provided upon request of booking if the guest agrees to clean them before checkout. (pillow cases, flat sheet or fitted sheet). We do provide the comforter, pillows, fleece blankets and quilts. The bathroom is directly across the "master" bedroom located on the lower level (shower only). The shower has two different shower heads you can choose from. Towels are provided (wash clothes and hand towels as well). The vanity has one sink, a magnifying lighted mirror, shelfing, step stool for kids and hanging towel racks. There is a hair dryer, straighter, heating pad and first aid kit provided. The property has a large driveway for parking or entertaining. There are many solar lights on the property that light up at night or when wild life walk by. Three security cameras are on exterior of the property. No pets! Kayaks, corn hole, life jackets, kids games, some swimming accessories and horse shoes are located in the small shed beside garage. Garage attached to house is locked and off limits to guests. Fire wood provided. Located behind the small shed. Guest access Guests have access to all the property except the garage. Other things to note We are located a short drive to almost anything you could think of! Abanakee Lake, Adirondack Lake, Indian Lake, Cedar and Hudson River, a sandy beach, playground/basketball court, boat launch, kayak launches, snowmobile trails, fishing areas, Gore Mountain and hiking trails galore, ADK Museum, multiple rafting company’s, Revolutionary Rail, etc. Guest are welcome to use the two kayaks located on the shed. Life vests and yard games (washer board, horse shoes and corn hole) can be found in the shed. There is a small nature trail that goes around the back of the property marked by trail tags. Kayaks will need to be transported by your vehicle to local public lake access points. This information can be located in the welcome packet along with other local attractions, stores, restaurants, etc.
