Huckleberry House

Huckleberry House is tucked away against the Witzenberg Mountains in the beautiful Tulbagh valley. It is surrounded by a vineyard, old Oaks and Wild Olive trees in a beautiful shady garden. The house is very spacious, newly renovated in a unique and tasteful style and is the perfect place to make special memories for family and friends. Each bedroom theme is influenced by a country (Bali, India and Japan) and there is a Kolkol hot-tub on the covered veranda. Furry friends are welcome :) Guest access We are based on a farm, so you will need to drive on a dirt road for about 10/15 mins to get to the property. Most vehicles can manage the dirt road if you drive slowly, but vehicles that are slightly higher off the ground will manage it much easier (4X4's, SUV's, bakkies) Other things to note PACKING TIPS Walkings shoes, hat, SPF and water bottle (summer gets hot) Mosquito repellent Floaties for the dam (these are not provided) Your own fishing gear (We have white fish in the swimming dam and bass & carp in the fishing dam that you are welcome to catch and release - the dam is on your right as you enter the farm) IMPORTANT NOTICE Construction of a new wedding venue is currently taking place on the farm. The venue is not located on the same property as the accommodation, however guests may occasionally see or hear construction activity. La Bruyère is a working farm, and certain operational activities form part of the environment. While construction is not continuously disruptive, it may not be possible to eliminate all noise entirely.
