Other things to note There is a long stairway that winds towards the top. Heavy luggage will be difficult to take up. If needed, you may request a box to separate your luggage making the trip up easier. We do not allow children due to the hazard of these stairs. In addition, the house is chuck full of antiques, china, and breakable stuff that will be expensive to replace. We are sorry but homes built in 1857 were not built to be handicapped accessible. Modifications would be very difficult. Events are allowed but only with pre-arrangements. Please ask about the event fee. All the fireplaces are non-functional.
