Cabin in Amberg

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway on 5 acres. Quaint, rustic and plenty of nature. Near a rushing river with falls, fishing, trails, and small town life. Dave's Falls County Park is footsteps away, Pike River is a short walk down the road. You'll find what you're looking for if you want to get off the grid and enjoy some nature, and a unique experience with scenic outlooks nearby. Cabin is seconds off HWY 141, highway sounds are audible from the property. The space This is an old cabin, with a cozy feel. The main level has kitchen, bathroom, and the living space doubles as additional sleeping quarters with a couch, recliner, and Amish bunk bed; there is no formal living room. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms; to the left the first room has two twin beds, and to the right the second bedroom has a full-size bed. The cabin has a thermostat for heating control throughout. There is a low ceiling when walking upstairs, so if you are taller please watch your head. Couch in the downstairs living space is uncomfortable :-) Recliner chair is very comfortable. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cabin. Cellar and sheds are used for storage and not accessible. Other things to note Please keep in mind that this is an old cabin out in the woods, plenty of quirks, creeks, and cracks. If you want a luxury experience this is not your trip. If you want to unplug and get off the grid and explore nature, bring some bug spray, a good book, and take a deep breath. This property is located off Highway 141, on a side road. You can still hear highway sounds afar during the day from the cabin. There IS a TV on the main level with an HDMI port. *There are no cable subscriptions or local channels* Upstairs TV has a DVD player. There is a stack of random movies including kids titles that were left over the years. Games and books under the table on the main level.
