The space Located on the northside of beautiful Torbay, this brand new ground level apartment offers a place to rest and unwind. The private 2 bedroom unit in an owner occupied home is a stone's throw away from amenities like a supermarket and liquor store and a spectacular ocean view. Torbay History House and Museum is a nearby cultural highlight, and some of the best hiking trails in the North East Avalon Region can be found here. Our location is ideal for couples, small families, solo adventurers and business travelers, as it offers a place to disconnect from the everyday, reset and unwind, and also be a short drive to the city, airport, and larger attractions. Our 2 bedroom apartment has everything you need for a relaxing, enjoyable stay. It is a cozy, comfortable place in the country that features a modern open concept kitchen/ living room. Situated just off a side road, there is parking for your vehicle right outside your door. Sit outside in the natural surroundings on this treed property, as you grill and chill using the guest BBQ. In the fully stocked kitchen you will find a fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, slow cooker, dishes, pots, pans, utensils and more that you can use to prepare your own recipes. (Skip the Dishes and DoorDash deliver if you need a day off!). The table is set for three, but can accommodate four. All of our stays include coffee (Keurig), a variety of teas, and hot chocolate. Sugar and creamer are also provided. Relax on the couch and watch TV, play a board game, or have a game of cards. The bathroom has a tub/shower, a sink with vanity space, and amenities to make your stay comfortable including fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer & straightener. Hit the hay on fresh sheets and soft pillows and rock-paper-scissors over who gets the King bed or the Double bed. The King bedroom is cozy and features bedside lamps with usb plugs, and a modern storage tower. The Double bedroom features a dresser, lamp and mirror. We live on site and are here to help you enjoy your stay! Guest access Guests can park for free. The apartment is ground level and there is a keyless entry pad on the door for your convenience. Guests may use the outside sitting area by their door and grill on the guest BBQ provided. We have a personal fire pit area on the property. Please ask us about using this space. Other things to note If you're going for a jaunt, we do recommend a vehicle as there is no public transportation in the Town of Torbay. A cab ride to St. John’s is $35+. There are highlights in the community that can be accessed with a quick walk, such as Lorina’s, the Post Taphouse or access to the East Coast Trail. Other places in the community such as Torbay Commons splash pad, Torbakery, Mary Browns, Polished Spa, Torbay History House and Museum, PharmaChoice, the public library, or Platinum gym would be faster reached by vehicle. It's hard to believe that we are only 9 minutes to Stavanger Drive, 13 minutes to YYT, 18 minutes to the Health Sciences, and 22 minutes to downtown St John's, yet we live in what we affectionately call “the country”.
