Your friends won't have heard of it (and please help keep the secret!) and you can truly unplug in this perfect corner of the Northeast Kingdom. Plenty to do in every season. The space The 1820s cottage has been lovingly restored and sits steps from the famed lake, and just down the road from miles of groomed cross-country ski trails via the Highland Lodge and Craftsbury Outdoor Center (where you can rent and enjoy a hot cocoa). Downhill skiing at Stowe or Burke is also nearby. In the summer, amazing swimming, boating and bike rentals are steps away. Of course you must visit the world-famous Hill Farmstead Brewery as well.
