Bluff Country Retreat - Bunk House

These Cozy Accommodations are a Bunk House attached to a shed. The space offers a log cabin theme and has one bedroom with a queen log bed and a two twin beds. There is a fireplace for use in the winter and is air conditioned for summer. There is a kitchenette with a refrigerator and a microwave. There are multiple hotplates provided and a washer and dryer is available. There are miles of mowed walking trails on the property and we are located 3 miles from the Root River Bike Trail. The space The Bunk House is located on 80 acres of private property 3 miles from Whalan and the Root River Bike Trail. We have several miles of mowed walking trails throughout the property for guests to use. They provide opportunities for walking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. There are two dwellings on the property, a house and a bunkhouse. We do rent out the house as well, about 100 feet or so from bunk house. It has separate outdoor areas for gathering and a separate firepit. Both dwellings may be rented by different parties at the same times. Extended stay discounts are available. Property Rules •Please be honest. We reserve the right to verify the correct number of guests during your stay. •Please be respectful of the property. •If you plan to have Day Guests, we need to be informed in advance, and the fee will be $10/day/guest. •No campers or tents allowed. •PLEASE REMOVE YOUR SHOES WHEN IN THE BUNK HOUSE! •No Smoking in the Bunk House. Please smoke outside and dispose of cigarette butts in a safe and clean manner (do not leave them on ground). •No pets in the Bunk House - prior approval is required to have pets on the premises. •Stay on the mowed trails when walking, biking, etc. •The open grass areas are in a Government Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) to preserve wildlife and are not to be traveled on. •No motorized vehicles on the trails. •NO fireworks, the CRP area is highly flammable. •Stay away from the cliff areas at lookout points, there are bushes growing at the edge that can hide the drop and you could fall over. •There are deer stands located on the property, do not climb in them. •The owners are often around during your stay doing maintenance and may need to access the Bunk House. •We do not allow parties or loud noise. Sound travels far and neighbors can hear and will call us. No loud music and no outside music after 9PM. Respect our neighbor’s and other guest’s privacy. •If you use a deep fryer, do not use it in the bunkhouse, cook outside with it. Guest access There are miles of mowed walking trails on the property. The trails are shared space on the property. Other things to note We provide firewood for the fire pit. For single night rates, contact us. There is a security camera mounted to south side of the house above the garage and one on the south side of the shed. They both provide a view of the driveway as you enter the property.
