Indian Lodge on Rushford Lake

Stay in a very unique original log cabin on Rushford Lake. Built in 1939 by Sanford Hubbard as originally 1 of 30 Arts & Crafts cabins on the lake. The cabin has been lovingly restored, and will be a very unique experience. Keep in mind this is a cabin, so there are some “rustic” qualities. This cabin is lake front, with new stairs leading down to the shoreline and dock. Kayaks and paddle boards are available for your use. This is a great place to make family memories! The space Each of the three bedrooms have full (double) sized beds. The downstairs bedroom has a double bed, bedroom two upstairs has a double bed, and bedroom three upstairs has two double beds. The two loft bedrooms upstairs are divided by a wall and have curtains that can be pulled across to give privacy from the downstairs. Kitchen is fully furnished with everything you will need to cook family meals. The bathroom was completely remodeled in 2022, and a new on demand hot water heater was installed in 2023. This cabin, along with all houses on the lake have well water. A new water filter system was added to the house. But keep in mind, it is filtered well water. Guest access Parking is somewhat limited. The two spaces directly to the left of the garage are for this cabin. If additional space is needed, please ask where additional off trail locations are located. Parking in other cabin spaces can result in towing. Other things to note Please read cancellation policy. No refund for changed dates if cancelled or changed within 30 days of arrival. Changed dates or cancellations within 30 days usually does not allow us to secure other rentals for these dates. Cabin also has an LCD projector in the chandelier that can be broadcasted to the screen on the front wall. Great opportunity to watch your family’s favorite dvds (many provided) or your favorite streaming service for movie nights after a day in the water. There is brand new AC/heating unit installed in 2023 that does cool the cabin down remarkably, the AC will keep the temperature lower on really hot days. It does lower the cabin temp significantly at night. There is a beautiful stone fireplace in the living room. A great spot to have a fire on a cold night! The covered lake facing porch is a wonderful place to have a meal or to just hang out and view the lake. Hang out on the dock, or one of the many chairs by the fire pit. You can either enter the water via the stairs or down the ladder at the left of the dock. It is a good idea to wear river shoes if you plan to enter the water and walk around by the dock. There are lots of lifesaving vests located in the shed by the shoreline. A long handled brush for lake access dock stairs is located in the shed. Before using stairs into the lake, it is a good idea to brush off algae that may collect on the stairs making them slippery. Kayaks and paddle boards are also located in the shed for your enjoyment!
