General description: You'll have the heavily insulated Hut with double glass doors on the back side (opposite side of the main cabin) that open out to the woods, and barn doors that open out behind the big queen bed (made up in cozy campy style, old, comfy & broken in for the "Camp Hut" style ) for cross ventilation and more of a stepped-up "outside camping" experience, but with electricity, lights, heat & neat retro fans. Kitchenette: A little hutch with lighting and a red retro microwave, little coffeemakers (for k cups, ground, hot water), drawers for your things (some drawers swell shut in moist climate here), towels, dish cloths, clean rags, dish liquid, jugs of water for drinking and clean-up, microwave dishes, utensils, campy kitchenette needs for campfire cooking grate, big cast iron skillet and graniteware camp pots & pans, fold-up tables that can be moved around outside or inside, one large for outside work table, food prep, clean-up, for your things that can be out in the weather. Ask for charcoal grill with charcoal and lighter fluid. Toiletry: You can access the main cabin's main floor shared bathroom ("I to the Woods") not far on the front left side of the cabin off the central hall right inside the entry door with a nice hand-held or wall mounted sprayer in the big tub area with many sprayer settings. And, the Hut has a 5gallon toilet bucket with sudsy bleach water & leaves, toilet seat, toilet paper & bags, jugs and more, more, more jugs of water and more bleach, antibacterial spray foam. You can move this to any area outside the Hut or inside as I do, and Private outside Hut area. Private outside campfire/sitting/picnic area: You'll have your own private sitting area and rock fire pit, firewood from huge front pile with wheelbarrow (much uncut from fallen trees, drape across fire), easy homemade fire starters, lighters, comfortable black fold-up chairs and night throws, big metal trashcan with backstock of jugs of cleaning/toiletry water and loose with a dipper for putting fires out and for toilet bucket. Flashlights, little cooler of ice & big bottles of fresh filtered spring well water for drinking , you may want to bring a larger cooler and ice for your food. Getting to it: You will have a short walk on the ground through your own path through the "short woods" of maybe a minute or two between the Hut and parking. The big old wheelbarrow can be accessible to transport your things back and forth, as I do, and for gathering and transporting firewood from the huge pile at your parking space. It will be very dark at night with minimal light pollution for star gazing and moon watching! There will be flashlights here for you and you may also want to use your cell phone flashlight. Guests may be onsite in other private suites spaces and host-owner possibly in unreserved spaces in the main cabin. Privacy and quiet are priorities for all guests. 021326/050626 -------------------------------------------------------- Anytime: 3-night weeknight special $250 Tues, Wed, Thurs nights By request only, please ask -------------------------------------------------------- Cozy Camp Hut Description: Camp Perritt Perritt's Path's best bed (queen memory foam), best view, best privacy, 2nd best rate (same Hut "Camp Hut" without shared bathroom lowest rate) -Detached queen sleeping space (upscale campy) -Main cabin's Spa Bath room shared, a tiny walk from Hut -Private outside sitting area & rock firepit at Hut, wood & supplies with wheelbarrow The Cozy Camp Hut & Into the Woods shared Spa Bath room are designed for getting away from it all, for relaxation and de-stressing, for mountain therapy, or to spend time with another or a pet, to join more closely with Nature (way better than camping with rustic comforts and luxury, warm & cozy or open out to the woods and breezy like outdoors but sheltered and comforted in a Hut), for those that like to camp and experience different things, have a bit of adventure in their spirit, longing for a unique, memorable experience: rustic, cozy, back to Nature in our comfortable ways. -------------------------------------------------------- Use: A landing for off the road or after The Caverns concerts, date night or a couple experience, or a solitary's close encounter with Mother Nature and pet time, journaling, meditation, rest, quiet, eccentric and rustic, casual, quirky, comfortable and broken in, never perfect intentionally, a quiet work spot, or for those looking for a lesser rate, this is one of the least expensive suites of spaces at Perritt's Path. -------------------------------------------------------- Details: Always a work in progress for a cozy sleeping room out back detached from the cabin for stepped-up indoor posh-campy in rustic, not so serious Camp Hut style, covered with barked oak tree slabs outside like the outside of a tree (and black textured paint and other on two some exterior walls on the back sides) and raw wood inside like the inside of the tree. The hut is heavily insulated under the barked oak slabs (the reason it is covered with tree slabs) and under the flooring with styrofoam housing panels and sealed, red metal roof with three layers of roofing for insulation for any-season experience, all sealed up, has a super comfy big queen bed with memory foam mattress (the best bed at Perritt's Path) w cozy rustic linens (never perfect), red & black flannel in cool months, white cotton in warm months, lots of downy pillows, furry, fuzzy throws and suede-like & furry heavy comforter, an old broken-in flannel sleeping bag folded at the bottom. Even in summer, it's very cool after dark through morning, when using it some myself this past summer, it was even cold some, turning the fans off mid-summer. Double glass doors open out to the woods there on the back side (not facing the main cabin) of the Hut where you will enter and exit, and the wood hut doors behind the bed on the front side of the Hut can also open in warm months for an open-window effect over the back of the bed, also creating cross-ventilation with breezes. The floor is rustic chunks of wood, a powerful, new, old-fashioned metal fan on a tall stand at the bed for the warmer months (stored elsewhere cold months), old fashioned retro metal table fans on both sides of the bed, an old chest of drawers dressed up in rustic style with a galvanized metal basin with fresh spring water from the Perritt's Path well, fresh towels and other for old-fashioned country mini clean-up, jugs of cleaning water and supplies, lamps and old fashioned lights, a little electric fireplace stove heater. -------------------------------------------------------- Shared Spa Bath room A tiny walk to the main cabin: Shared by owner-host or other suite-guest. The Hut uses the cabin's downstairs shared Spa Bath room "Into the Woods" only a short walk away to the front of the main cabin, entry into the Gallery Hall door right at the bathroom with 2-person jet tub, nice hand-held shower with wall attachment and many settings, Craftsman made shelf with the wall attachment, plush towels, pampering bath & shower products, large ceiling fan and another metal old-fashioned fan at the sink, distressed finishes on wood-boarded ceiling and other, earthy stone textured walls, a Craftsman made bathroom sink mirror with old boards and bark, and double shower curtains with a woven white fabric one on a branch and another behind for showering and privacy, dimmable lighting, cool grey tile floors, assortment of bath rugs, a unique Craftsman setting, little electric wood stove heater for cold months and the mountain cool-climate chill or just the flames for ambience. The windows' bottom halves have frosty coverings for privacy, the top halves exposed for more natural light and views of the treetops, sky, moon, stars, birds, the experience. -------------------------------------------------------- Another suite of spaces in the main cabin may be occupied by other guests or host, all private, bathroom possibly shared by host-owner and/or other suite guest (ask about scheduling for 1hr soaks), no other shared or common spaces except short hall, possibly outdoors & back porch. The Hut has its own private outdoor fire pit area (and firewood), but you may encounter others when you are coming and going from/to your car and Spa Bath room via walking to the front of the main cabin. 021326/050526 -------------------------------------------------------- Guest access Camp Hut out back with its own private rock fire pit and outdoor sitting area on the right side.
