Feathergrass Studio is a welcoming 1-room loft

Just off main street, Feathergrass Studio began as a simple place for people to sleep and turned into a work of art. You can’t help notice all of the love & craftsmanship that has gone into making this space beautiful as well as comfortable. Its cabin/treehouse- like quality is welcoming. The loft is spacious(750sqft) to give your family breathing room. 1 mi.to Evans Plunge, 1.5 mi. to Mammoth Site, 10 mi. to Wind Cave Natl. Park. Enjoy exploring Hot Springs & walking the nearby Freedom Trail. The space The loft is a one-room, open concept area. Sleeping accommodations include a queen-sized bed, built-in bunk beds designed for privacy with curtains, USB ports and reading lights and a futon. There are handmade quilts for all of the beds and window coverings. There is a full kitchen with an island sink that has everything you should need to cook or just have a cup of coffee. The tiled bathroom has an unusually tall shower! There is a dedicated area for a dining room table for meals or playing games. In building Feathergrass Studio, all of the wood work was repurposed from our old garage or from Black Hills blue-stained pine milled in our back yard. Works of art built into the loft include a wall that can best be described as a wood quilt; stone-worked electric fireplace with stones gathered on our travels, custom designed cabinets and kitchen island with a wooden mosaic front. The fenced-in back yard encloses some open space as well as our flower and vegetable gardens- feel free to check them out!. Depending on the time of year, you will be parking either in the alley & use the back gate or park in the driveway and use the front gate. Either way, you’ll have a private entrance to the loft. Guest access You will have access to the loft and the fenced-in back yard. Other things to note For clarification there is 1 queen bed, 1 set of bunk beds suitable for 2 children or 1 adult & 1 child and 1 fold down couch for a total of 5 people. Please note there are 18 steps to the loft.
