Beautifully Restored; Spacious Spring Cottage

Spring Cottage is an ideal holiday destination for any family or friends. Completely renovated; spacious but cosy, so works for couples to 6 guests plus 1 infant (no pets). It has a lounge with log burner, large farmhouse kitchen with island & 10 ft (3m) dining table, en-suite, & peaceful south facing garden & seating area. In the centre of Youlgrave by the church; there’s many walks around the beautiful Georgian village/countryside with the Bradford & Laithkill Dales a short stroll away. The space Spring Cottage is a lovely Georgian cottage which has been renovated from top to toe. The whole house is choc full of character, with beams aplenty and we’ve managed to save a lot of the floors and doors too. This is a wonderful place to have a get together with family and friends. Inside it is very spacious. Upstairs has 2 double bedrooms. The main bedroom with its newly added en-suite. The en-suite has a generous shower cubicle, sink vanity unit with de-misting mirror, towel rail & toilet. This comes complete with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, liquid soap & toilet rolls. The 2nd double with its beautiful original oak floor, and a 3rd bedroom with its newly exposed roof & beams. This has 2 single beds. There is a bathroom with bath, sink vanity unit with de-misting mirror and toilet. Towels are provided for each guest. We also provide, shampoo & conditioner, bubble bath, & toilet rolls. Downstairs, there is a large living room with it’s old shop counter & printing chest. The room has a stone fireplace & hearth with log burner. Also, central heating is provided. It has good speed WiFi, log burner, tv, internet radio and CD player & lots of games & books for adults & children. This is a great room for cozy nights around the fire. The dining area is a great space to be, with a 3 metre former lacemaker’s table, with lovely ambient lighting made from a 400 year old beam! For music, there is an Alexa too. This gives plenty of space to eat and enjoy time together. The kitchen has been completely fitted out with new units, including an island and new appliances. It has a large fridge/freezer, and induction hob, fan oven, fitted dishwasher and fitted washing machine. Plus, all the other appliances (kettle, microwave, toaster, cafetière, stovetop espresso maker, iron and ironing board) that make Spring Cottage a home from home. As well as our welcome hamper, which includes milk & bread; we also provide tea, coffee, sugar plus cooking oils, salt & pepper. We also provide kitchen roll, tissues, washing up liquid & materials, liquid hand soap, & plenty of hand & tea towels. The kitchen door leads out onto a sheltered walled south facing garden. In the patio area it has a table and two benches right by the kitchen door. This will seat 6. This is a great area to relax and eat outside. Plus there is a small garden and lawn to enjoy. The temperature in the garden out of season can often be surprisingly pleasant. Follow the path out of the garden and keep going down the hill. You will find yourself in the beautiful Bradford Dale, with its wild swimming pool and lots of birds and wildlIfe. Guest access Parking is available on the road nearby. Access to the Cottage is at the front or rear of the property. Keys are kept in a lockbox on the wall at the rear of the property. Please see the directions to the rear garden. Other things to note Please bring with you a pair of indoors shoes to protect your feet and the floor.
