The space The 512 sq. ft. bunkhouse was built in the 60's as the original sleeping quarters for local ranchhands. It has been updated, of course, and has a complete kitchen with full-sized refrigerator and four-burner gas range with large oven. Floors are the original concrete, complete with the original imprinted footprints. Wood planked ceilings and wood-burning stove provide coziness. A new mini split provides A/C for the summers and heating for the winters for year-round temperature comfort. Amazing views from the back deck and quiet, dark nights give tranquility. Dogs are welcome (limit 90 pounds total); we have new fencing for frolicking in a very large area east of the bunkhouse, but the west end is not 100% enclosed. A 50' tie line is provided as well. Guest access The entire free-standing cabin is yours; contact-free entry is easy with a keypad, any time day or night. Easy to get to; the last quarter mile is a maintained dirt road. Other things to note Our overly-friendly barn cats and laying hens roam free; please advise before arrival if your dog(s) may chase or harm the chickens and we will keep them locked up.
