Within Webster Cottage you will find a quirky and characterful two bedroom, ground floor flat offering a comfortable stay for up to 2 adults. There is free on street parking outside the property and it is less than 10 minutes' walk from the Train and Bus Stations, allowing you to explore the Lake District from your doorstep. Located within the historic part of town, in the castle and old canal head area, you are less than 1 minute walk from the town centre across an old stone bridge. The space The property consists of: Living Room – A cosy space with three-seater sofa and dining table. Free Wifi. TV complete with Roku streaming device and Freeview access provided. Games & Books cupboard also found here. Kitchen – Fully equipped kitchen including gas cooker, full size fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, microwave and washing machine. With all cookware and tableware. Bathroom – Large bathroom with bath and overhead shower, toilet and basin. Bedroom 1 – Double bed, wardrobe and vanity station with hairdryer. Bedroom 2 / Office - Single bed, built-in wardrobe & cupboards, and desk. The property also has gas central heating. Please note towels, bed linen, iron, ironing board, and clothes airer are also provided, along with basic toiletries, cleaning supplies, and tea & coffee. This is a ground floor flat with no stairs, however some of the rooms are on different levels and require one step up/down. As this is a ground floor flat there may be some noise from the upstairs neighbour during the day. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home. Other things to note Parking - there is free on street parking directly outside the property as well as in the surrounding area. There is also a secure car park a short walk away. Public Transport- The cottage is a 5 minute walk from Kendal bus station and 10 minute walk from Kendal train station (with a direct line to Oxenholme Station), both providing a regular timetable into the Lake District. The cottage is situated along the ‘Visit Kendal’ Culture & Historic walking trails, as well as the ‘Kendal BID’ 'History', and 'Beer, Wine & Food' walking trails. Next to the river Kent and Kendal Castle, it is within an easy walk of the town centre where you will find eateries, independent retailers, banks, post office and supermarkets. Kendal’s bi-weekly outdoor markets and monthly farmers market are held in the picturesque market place, just 1 minute walk from the cottage. - Doorstep walking trails - 1 minute walk to the closest bar, restaurant and takeaway - 2 minute walk to Tourist Information Centre & Town Hall - 5 minute walk to the local tourist attractions, including Abbot Hall and Kendal museum - 5 minute walk to closest supermarket - 10 minute walk to the Leisure Centre
