Description
This Scandinavian log cabin in Snowdonia National Park sleeps 2-6 people and is perfect for couples, families, friends and is dog friendly. It’s a great base for climbing Snowdon, hiking, biking, rock climbing, watersports, horse riding, and zip world. There are forests, hills, valleys, mountains, historic castles, quaint villages and beautiful beaches nearby. A great escape from it all - perfect for relaxing with family and friends or simply a quiet get away to enjoy dark night star gazing. The space This Scandinavian log cabin sleeps 2-6 people in 3 bedrooms and is ideal for couples, families or friends and is dog friendly. Kitchen: The kitchen is well equipped for a long stay or short break. There’s a coffee machine (Nescafé Dolce Gusto), full size dishwasher & a large fridge/freezer ready to store groceries for a week, kettle, toaster, microwave, electric hob and oven. You’ll find tea, coffee and sugar ready for your arrival and cleaning products and dishwasher tablets in the cupboard - a home from home. Lounge/dining area: The cabin has been extended to provide an open plan, bright, light, sociable living space. There are now 3 leather sofas (red fabric sofa replaced); a dining table and chairs; WiFi; TV; Netflix; DVD’s; board games and a small selection of books. Bedrooms: All cabin bedrooms are small and cosy. There are two small double bedrooms at either end of the cabin. The middle bedroom has one full size single bed and a high sleeper which is accessed by a set of ladders. This high sleeper is only suitable for children or small light agile adults who are happy climbing up and down stepladders. All beds are made up with fresh cotton linen and towels are provided. There are no additional laundry costs as this is incorporated into the cleaning fee. Please note storage is limited in all cabin bedrooms. Bathroom: There’s one bathroom with a shower cubicle. Bath towels, hand towels and bath mat are provided so all you need to pack are your own beach towels. Outside: The deck area has outdoor rattan dining furniture - perfect for morning coffee, alfresco dining, BBQ’s, or just enjoying the moment. The BBQ has gas provided but this cannot be guaranteed. BBQ utensils can be found in the kitchen drawers. BBQ cleaning products and brush can be found under the kitchen sink. If using the BBQ please be respectful and clean this after use for the next guests as it is not a service offered by the cleaning company. Parking: There’s a designated parking space directly outside the cabin. Please note there is a significant drop at the end of the parking space. This is marked with post and rope. Unfortunately, due to fire risks and insurance this log cabin cannot charge electric vehicles. There are designated EV charging points at Coed y Brenin or in supermarkets in Porthmadog and Dolgellau. Situation: The cabin is situated in a quiet tranquil holiday village. There is a small shop within reception, a cafe, laundry, playground and secure dog walking area. Locations of facilities can be found by tapping on ‘location’. There are lovely walks, activities and local pubs within an easy driving distance. Coed y Brenin National Cycling Centre and the old gold mines are a 5 minute drive; The National white water centre is 20 minutes away ; Zip World is only 15 minutes away; and the Beaches of Southern Snowdonia 30 minutes drive. Pets: We are a very dog friendly family and are happy to welcome dogs to our cabin. No other pets are permitted. We hope you will be considerate dog owners and abide by the dog policy: 1. Only 2 dogs allowed in the cabin. 2. Dogs must be fully house trained and toilet outdoors. 3. Dogs must be well behaved and non-destructive. 4. Dogs must not be left unattended in cabins. 5. Dogs are not permitted in the bedrooms or on the sofas or furniture. Should dog hair be found on bedding an additional fee will be requested for a deep clean and extra laundry for the next guests. 6. Dogs must be kept on a lead around the site and in the garden area. There is however a designated dog walking area where dogs can run free and miles and miles of countryside and beaches. 7. Please “bag it and bin it”. There are lots dog waste bins around the site. Guest access The cabin is on a hillside and accessed via a downward slope to the right or stone steps to the left of the parking space. The cabin itself is on one level. Sadly it was built many years ago and doesn’t comply with disabled living requirements today and is not wheelchair friendly. Other things to note PETS : DOGS: We are a very dog friendly family and are happy to welcome dogs to our cabin. No other pets are permitted. We hope you will be considerate dog owners and abide by the dog policy: 1. An absolute maximum of 2 small dogs are allowed in the cabin. 2. Dogs MUST be fully house trained and toilet outdoors. 3. Dogs MUST be well behaved and non-destructive. 4. Dogs must never be left unattended in cabins. 5. Dogs are not permitted in the bedrooms or on the sofas. Should there be excessive dog hair found on bedding an extra cleaning & laundry charge will be requested to cover a deep clean for the next guests. 6. Dogs must be kept on a lead around the site and in the garden area. There is however a designated dog walking area where dogs can run free. 7. Please “bag it and bin it”. There are lots dog waste bins around the site.
