Description
Secluded camp in a Vermont forest. No neighbors at all, it’s as if the forest is all yours. The cabin has solar power for lights and charging your stuff. Get out of the city and decompress. Enjoy the sound of the birds and a nearby mountain stream. Easy drive to local swimming holes, hiking and restaurants. Adjacent forest roads are great for walking too. Cabin sleeps up to 3 people. One bunk has been removed for space. So there is one single bed and one full size bed. The space The camp is in Cavendish, Vermont and has a 10x16 ft Cabin with a full size futon bed, and two twin bunks. To get there you will drive approx a mile on forest dirt roads with no neighbors. It's on a dead end road so you're pretty secluded. There's a wood stove to keep warm on cool VT nights, and an outdoor water pump well. There's also an outdoor shower that will get "warm" if the sun hits the tank enough. Great for refreshing on hot summer days. No wifi or cell service when you arrive. You can drive 1 minute up the dirt road for cell service. Download your music and movies ahead of time, there's a bluetooth speaker in the cabin. The "toilet" is a bag-in-a-bucket in an outdoor shed. The town of Ludlow is a 10 minute drive with bars and restaurants, gas stations that have bathrooms. The camp has a fire pit, a charcoal weber grill and a picnic table. Basic cooking and grilling utensils are provided. There's also a propane indoor stove to make your morning coffee. There's also a basic sink with a camp jug for water. The solar panels charge the batteries in the cabin and provide enough 12volt power for the lights and a fan, and will charge your cell phone, tablet, etc., but it won't run something like a hair dryer. We've only had positive reviews. We think you'll enjoy your stay in the Vermont forest! Guest access You will have the camp to yourself. Mile long bumpy dirt road through the forest. 4x4 is a plus, but not necessary. Other things to note No conventional toilet. See photos of "toilet in a bag" setup. Bring your own linens. There is a full size futon and two single bunks.
