Fox Camp

Escape to a peaceful pondside campsite surrounded by nature. Fox Camp offers a private fire pit, tiki torches, a picnic table with umbrella, and access to kayaks and a canoe. Enjoy catch-and-release fishing, explore the meadow, or simply relax by the water. This is a dry camping experience with a clean portable toilet available for guests. In season, you can even pick wild blackberries around the property. Come unwind, enjoy the quiet, and make Fox Camp your little escape! The space Our peaceful pond is the centerpiece of the property and a beautiful place to relax, enjoy the scenery, or take one of the available watercraft out on the water. The campsites are surrounded by grassy areas with a gentle slope leading down to the pond’s edge. A large cedar tree provides partial shade, making it a lovely spot to sit back and enjoy the surroundings. Wildlife is part of the experience here,you may see ducks, frogs, birds, and other local wildlife around the pond. In mid-summer, you may even see hundreds of tiny frogs emerging from the water! Wild blackberries also grow around the property when they’re in season, and guests are welcome to pick and enjoy them during their stay. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet morning by the pond, spending the afternoon on the water, picking fresh blackberries, or relaxing by the fire in the evening, it’s a peaceful little place to slow down and enjoy nature. Guest access Guests are welcome to enjoy the pond and surrounding meadow during their stay. Kayaks and a canoe are available for campers to use and are shared between the campsites. Catch-and-release fishing is welcome in the pond. Please bring your own fishing gear. A clean portable toilet is conveniently located near the parking area and is regularly serviced for our guests. Both the parking and camping areas are on grass. Feel free to walk around the property, explore the meadow, relax by the pond, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Other things to note There’s plenty to explore during your stay! We’re conveniently located near outdoor recreation, family-friendly activities, local attractions, dining, and entertainment. During the summer, Skagit Speedway is just a few minutes away and hosts Saturday events. Skagit Valley Casino Resort is also nearby. Traveling with kids? Donovan Park is a great nearby option for families, with a playground and plenty of space for kids to play and burn off some energy. For outdoor adventures, several lakes are within a short drive for swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Lake Padden is approximately 12 minutes away, and Galbraith Mountain offers excellent mountain biking. Hikers can explore nearby trails such as Alger Alp Trail and Squires Lake Trail, both just minutes from camp. If you don’t feel like cooking, Alger Bar & Grille is right down the road. Bellingham is about 20 minutes away and offers a wide variety of restaurants, breweries, shops, and other attractions. After a day of exploring, come back to camp, relax by the fire, listen to the frogs around the pond, and watch the bats fly overhead as the evening settles in. Then wake up and enjoy it all over again!
