Description
Sunny, private bedroom on the second floor, with a queen-size bed and in a quiet suburb. Private bathroom across the hall. Miles of nature trails start 300 ft from our front door. NOTE: This room is sometimes more available than its calendar shows. Click the "Contact host" button below, send me your dates, and I'll reply quickly. Thank you! The space Your bedroom is on the second floor at the front of the house, with your private bathroom across the hall. Use the mini-fridge to keep your beverages and left-overs cold, and the microwave for reheating. On the dresser are a toaster and a coffee maker/water heater, with coffee, tea, and instant cocoa nearby. Your room has black-out, thermal-barrier window drapes plus ... —Summer: A three-speed ceiling fan and an oscillating, three-speed desk fan. Guests have never reported that either of the fans are noisy. —Late fall, winter, and early spring: Flannel bedding and two extra blankets in the closet. I’m happy to use regular cotton bedding instead, if you prefer! Guest access Guests have access to the following spaces: —Bedroom —Bathroom —Kitchen for additional refrigerator space and the oven (not stove top, sorry) —Laundry room —Deck —Driveway More information: —You're welcome to use our washer and dryer (also on main floor) for $4 a load, each machine, cash up front. Exception: You'll need to take oily or heavily soiled work clothes to the laundromat about a 10-minute drive away. —Parking is usually up in the driveway, and sometimes on our side of the street right in front of the house. The city prohibits overnight street parking from November through March so the snow plowers can do their thing. During those months, we coordinate the two driveway spots to make sure that we can all come and go when we need to. During your stay —I'm typically around during the day and evening and always happy to answer questions. Aside from that, our house is laid out in such a way that you'll usually only see me when you're coming and going. —We have two other bedrooms on Airbnb, so chances are you'll encounter another guest during your stay. —We (family) never use your bathroom, but when the other upstairs Airbnb room is booked, you'll share the bathroom with that guest. There's a schedule on the bathroom door to reserve shower times. Other things to note —Please note that if you search without any dates, the price you'll see reflects the 10 percent discount for a 7-night or longer stay. If you enter a date range of fewer than 7 nights, then the total price will be higher, plus Airbnb adds fees. —I'm almost always here for check-in. If I'm not here, you'll find the house key in a convenient place and I'll send you additional information by text. —Ideally, you're comfortable with pets, because we have a full-size collie and an indoor-outdoor, long-haired cat. —If you're traveling with a service or support animal, please be aware that our dog is territorial with other dogs, and our cat is not friendly to other cats. —We have a permanent tenant on our lower level (walk-out basement) whom you might meet in the driveway coming and going. Nate has his own entry on the patio under the deck, has no access to the rest of the house, and does not share the deck.
