Ontario Odyssey - a historic vessel in the woods!

Welcome aboard the Ontario Odyssey! This is a beautiful, 32' wooden vessel, nestled on a forested parcel located in Western New York. The award winning boat is now used as a dry-docked cottage and we welcome all travelers to come immerse yourself in this nautical experience! The space The Odyssey is a recently retired wooden yacht that has sailed Lake Ontario for the past five decades. Truly a piece of art, the vessel is complete with many of the amenities it had while in service, and features custom made mahogany decorations, a rear platform, and ladder. This is a solar powered, limited power usage stay (plenty of power for items such as phone chargers, fan, lights, radio, etc). However, please do not use items with heating elements or high watts (like coffee makers, microwaves, etc). We have a stainless steel Mueller French press onsite for your coffee! And a propane two-burner cooktop for your food :) There is no running water at the property, though there is a very clean porta john, as well as an outdoor five gallon gravity shower! Although there are many amenities provided to guests, you are essentially camping, so remember to pack accordingly. On board, there are three beds, plus a queen size, double stack air mattress that could be set up in the top deck area if needed. You are welcome to use personal tents or hammocks on the property! **If you must smoke, please do it outside and away from the vessel. No smoking on board, dispose of butts appropriately. Thank you!** Guest access Sailors have full access to the boat and land (use caution while exploring - uneven ground and poison ivy may be present). You also have access to a firepit, games, large cooler (bring ice), chairs, propane two-burner cooktop, picnic table, and many miscellaneous items to make your stay easier (disposable cutlery and plates, first aid kit, tool kit). We also rent the following items to guests for a fee. Please note that a damage/risk waiver will need to be filled out: -Gas Powered Minibike | $75 per day (fuel included) -Canoe | $40 per day (paddles and life jackets included) -Kayaks | $30 each, per day (paddles and life jackets included) As a quick side note, we have many improvements we would like to make to the property, including additional outbuildings (such as a wood shed and meat smoker), more gravel to extend the recreation area, privacy fencing, outdoor lighting, etc. These will be completed intermittently during Summer/Fall 2022.
