A 19th century Historic home with stunning terrace

We are extremely lucky to call this amazing place "our home in Marrakech" and this can be your home too! This is an incredibly rare 19th-century "Douiria", a self-contained house with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a stunning terrace and an incredible lounge, the heart of this house, with museum-quality wooden ceilings and plasterwork, restored by experts and renovated in 2018. This beautiful house offers everything you can wish for, at a location that is chic, safe & easy to find. The space You enter the house from the street through a brown door that opens to a small shared space with our neighbors (we are #95). When you enter the Douiria, you go up a few steps to reach the main floor of the house. On your left, you have the smaller double/twin bedroom and the bathroom. On your right, you have the lounge with the magnificent double high ceiling - the dining table is also in this space and can be moved anywhere you wish. This is the center of the house and the rest of the rooms are accessed through here. I must mention the wonderful ceilings of this space, they are original wood, painted in incredible detail, a very rate feature. The plasterwork on the walls is also second to none, and the atmosphere of this space is so positive, calming, and grounding, that it is hard to describe how lovely this room feels. The main bedroom is accessed through an arched doorway, with the bed on one side of the room and the walk-in wardrobe on the other side. The ceiling here is magnificent and recently restored. The kitchen is just off the lounge, with a fridge, small over and cooker, equipped with everything you need. The bathroom is on the left, with double sinks and plenty of natural light through the window. There is air conditioning in the lounge and both bedroom. Heating is provided through reversible air-conditioning and we also provide extra heaters in the winter. Guest access The whole house is available to you, with the exception of the storage room on the terrace. Other things to note This is a very special house with ancient ceiling work and plaster work. Please do not touch the ceiling or the plaster or use water to wash or clean these areas as this will ruin them. Please make sure you discuss your arrival details with us to make sure there is someone in the house to let you in. Last minute arrangements cannot be guaranteed. Check in is available till 19hrs. If you arrive later, this is also possible with an additional charge of 20 euros (200 Dhr).
