French Manor House in Fontainebleau Forest

Our beloved country house dates to the late 18th century. Nestled in the Fontainebleau forest, it's 45 mins from Paris, making day-trips a pleasure. Nearby are many great places to visit, outdoor activities and fabulous restaurants. The house and the neighborhood are extremely quiet and peaceful. The house and the gardens have an aura all their own. Gorgeous town is 5 min walk. Discounts are on a sliding scale according to length of stay and number of people. Linens professionally washed. The space The house is on a a private, walled estate with centennial trees. On the ground floor, there is a huge kitchen-dining room, a living room, a music room and a office. On the 2nd floor there are three bedrooms and a screening room and on the 3rd floor there are two additional bedrooms. The tower (see photos) is an ideal spot for Yoga, meditation or an evening drink at sunset. Guest access All spaces described above and in the photos are accessible to guests. A few additional rooms will owner's private belongings will be locked. Other things to note The walls are three feet thick. Summers in northern France tend to be dry and cool in the evening. Even during long heat waves, the house stays at a cool 75 degrees Fahrenheit so the house does not have an integrated air conditioning system. However, individual units are made available upon request. The house is surrounded by fabulous walking trails and the center of town is only a short walk away with all local amenities.
