A Casa Pequenina (The Little House)

Enjoy this peaceful "boho" hideaway, about 5 km from the town of Marvão, equipped with all the essential amenities to make you feel both far away and at home. The space This small 2 story house will be fully available to you. In the ground floor there is a lobby, with a 2-seater chair where you can enjoy a moment of reading and your favorite cup of tea. You will find a small bathroom equipped with a sink and toilet, and a windowless living/kitchen area (typical in houses in the Alentejo) that is fresh on summer days. In autumn and winter, the fireplace will bring warmth and comfort :). On the top floor there is a double bedroom, and a bedroom that sleeps up to 2 people, ideally children, and can serve as an inspiring independent workspace instead. There is also a bathroom equipped with a shower, sink and toilet. There is no backyard, but at the entrance of the house you can sit on a nice stone bench, which is part of the facade of the house. Here you can enjoy a coffee first thing in the morning, or a drink in the late afternoon. The entire space has been recently renovated and decorated. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property. Other things to note 'A Casa Pequenina' means 'The Little House', and it really is quite 'petite'. So if you're over 5ft tall, mind your head at the entrance, and in some of the lower, hidden areas of the house. In Casa Pequenina, as in other Alentejo houses, the windows are... small. The kitchen/living room area has no real windows (only a small vent), and so little natural light. This is a feature of homes in this area, which allows them to fight heat in summer. But there are many lighting options to choose from (wall, ceiling, table, and floor lamps). The ground floor is very cool in the summer, so it is not equipped with air conditioning. We believe you won't feel the need, but in any case there is a portable fan in the ground floor, which can be easily taken to any other room in the house. On the 1st floor there is AC available in each room. Access to the upper floor is by stairs, so Casa Pequenina is not prepared for people with limited mobility.
