Becoming very trendy, there are some of Glasgow's best loved artisan coffee shops, bakeries and bars a few blocks away, as well as the fabulous Queen's Park. The neighbourhood is best described as "mid-gentrification", it's not the more afluent West End. Occasionally litter can be a problem, but it's an interesting place. Multicultural, LGBTQ friendly and safe. Being completely honest the street can appear a bit rundown but it's a safe area and only a few blocks from Victoria Road where you'll find some of the most hip and interesting cafes and bars in town. The slightly rundown appearance of the area is not for everyone so please be aware of this when booking. It's reflected in the price - you get the entire apartment for around the same price as most people are charging for a double room in this neighbourhood. Groundfloor apartment with one double bedroom, living room, kitchen, bath and shower, fast wireless broadband, easy and free parking on the street outside. The bedroom is on the quiet side of the house, and the road outside the living room is not a main road so there's very little through traffic. The bedroom is silent at night.
